I Wish

Chapter 2

I woke up the next morning still tired. I slowly peeled off my covers and stood up to start getting ready for school. I walked downstairs and greeted my parents.

"Morning mom and dad," I said.

"Hey honey. How was your sleep?" My mom asked.

"Really good," I said as she put some eggs and toast onto my plate. I smiled and ate my food.

After I finished breakfast, I checked my phone.

From:Skyler- hay gurl hay! You better be awake you lazy arse.

I laughed at that text.

From: besst fraannnd(Kaden)- hey does after school sound ok for helping me with French?

I replied telling him tonight would be good. I walked out the door saying goodbye to my parents and walking to school.

The day dragged on and I was getting really tired. Once I got to my French class I saw Kaden sitting I his seat going over the notes the teacher gave him. He looked confused. Skyler and I sat down in our seats.

Kaden smiled when he saw I was I class. "Hey," he said quietly.

"Hi," I smiled. He was too adorable with his ocean blue eyes that sparkled and his dirty blond hair flopped to one side. When he smiled his dimples showed making him look even more cute. He smiled back revealing his slightly crooked teeth.

I then found myself staring at him as he looked at his notes. "Umm why does this word get used for past tense here and then this word here?" He asked me snapping me out of my trance.

"Oh, um well there that word gets used for every verb in the past tense except for the DR. and MRS P VANDERTRAMP words," I said explaining the acronym. I wrote out all the verbs for the rule on his sheet.

"Oh. That's weird. But ok. Thanks," he said as the teacher walked in to start the lesson.

The class was almost over and the teacher told us to wait at the door.

"Are we still good for after school?" I heard Kaden ask me.

I looked at him confused. What was he talking about? Oh yea. I had agreed to help him with French after school. "Oh yea. We're still good." I had completely forgotten honestly.

"Ok. Just making sure," he said.

The bell rang ending our conversation.

"So," Skyler said to me once in the hall. "You are dating him! And you didn't tell me!" She almost yelled. She almost seemed angry.

"No Sky. We're not dating. I'm only helping him with French after school. It's no big deal," I told her.

"Ok," she started. "Tell me next time when you get to hang out with a hot guy!" She said poking my ribs.

"Owiee," I whined.

"Baby," she muttered.

"You wanna go?" I asked teasingly.

"Bring it noob!" She yelled back.

I laughed as we started poking each others faces. We probably looked so stupid.

My last class went by quickly. Once the bell rang I quickly packed up my stuff and headed to the library where I would meet Kaden.

I found him sitting at a small table with his book open. He didn't notice me when I walked in.

I say down next to him. He looked up and smiled. Seriously I could melt. "Hey. I didn't see you come in," he said smiling sheepishly.

"That's ok," I laughed at his sheepishness. "Ok so what do you need help with?" I asked.

I helped him for about an hour. He was starting to understand more before we wrapped up.

"You did pretty well," I told him.

"Thanks for helping me. It means a lot," he smiled. Awwwww. He is just too cute.

"Not a problem," I said. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Ok. See ya later," he said walking out the door.

He is so sweet. I thought walking home. I always got lost in his eyes. And his smile made me go weak in the knees.

I didn't like him. Did I?
