Chapter 8

Exactly 2 weeks until semi. What? Yea. Time flies by when you're a socially awkward teen. Yup.

I have been helping Kaden in French after school 3 times a week. He seriously sucked at French. I didn't mind spending time with him though. I always tried to act at least somewhat normal around him. As you may or may not know for me that's almost impossible.

I laughed as Kaden put pencils in his ears trying to cheer me up. I had gotten a bad mark on my geography test. Isn't he sweet. All the reason more....

"Stop! You're making my ribs hurt!" I said as he started pulling faces at me.

"Good!" He yelled starting to tickle me.

"Noo!" I squealed in between giggles.

"Fine," he muttered once I had enough.

"Thank you," I said panting. Stupid Kaden.

"Feeling better now?" He asked sweetly.

"No," I said childish crossing my arms and pulling a pout face.

"You don't want me to tickle you again do you?" He asked getting ready to tickle me.

"No! Kaden! No!" I said smiling to show I wasn't upset so he wouldn't tickle me.

"That's it. Smiling's good for you," he said smiling as well.

"Whatever you goof," I told him punching him in the arm.

"Go die in a hole," he said teasingly.

"We'll lucky for you, I have to go now," I told him walking out of the library.

"What if I get mugged?" He asked me with wide eyes.

Awwwww. Too cute. "Suck it up," I said walking out.

I heard him let out an angry sigh. I laughed as I stepped out of the school into the cold winter evening. I shivered as I walked home.

I heard footsteps running behind me. I assumed it was just a jogger or something. "Ashtyn! Wait up!" I heard someone call. I turned around and there was Kaden running towards me.

"Decided to follow me to find out where I live?" I asked him. "You're such a stalker," I said as he slowed down to a walking pace next to me.

"Shut up," he said smiling. "I was afraid of getting mugged. Remember?" He asked me joking.

"So I'm your protection?" I asked him. He nodded slowly. "Great move getting the 5 foot 2 girl to be your protector," I told him.

"I've heard muggers are afraid of short people," he said patting my head. I rolled my eyes in response.

We fell into a comfortable silence as we came up towards my house. "Here's my stop," I told him turning into the driveway.

"Bye Ashtyn," he said hugging me.

He pulled back and I felt like fainting. Holy poo! He just hugged me! It felt like rhinos had invaded my stomach and were having a dance party.

"Bye," I said once I found my voice.

I saw him walking off out of the corner of my eye as he walked with a smug grin on his face.

I texted Skyler immediately.

To:Sky- GET YOUR BUTT OVER HERE BEFORE I PASS OUT!

I know she won't take it seriously. She'll understand to just get over here. My parents weren't home from work yet and they never minded when Sky came over.

From:Sky- KK. BE THERE IN 10

I sighed and sat on the couch waiting for her to arrive.

I had a lot of fun with Ashtyn today. She's so nice and sweet. She's even pretty....

What? No. I like Skyler. Not Ashtyn. Do I? No Skyler.

I couldn't help thinking about Ashtyn as I laid on my bed thinking. She's just so cute and insecure. She's also got a now sense of humor. And when I hugged her? She smelled pretty good too...

Ew I'm such a creep. And besides I like Skyler. But did I feel something when I hugged Ashtyn? Maybe not. Did I?

Too confused man, too confused.

Did I like Ashtyn or Skyler? I thought as I drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

A/N

Woop Woop chappie 8! I'm so tired. I was at badminton practice and now I'm on the couch with my dog who is snoring pretty loudly... And its snowing really hard outside. :(
