Ch.13- The Calm after the storm?..

             *"Looks like we have a chance of spot showers today, but it should clear up around the evening time. Just in time for the celebrations this weekend."* The weatherman said, on Team Dark's Tv. *"Thanks Rick. Thats right viewers this weekend marks the 5th year of peace after the Eggman War." The anchor man said. "Even though one of the missing Doctor's experiments caused server storms down the Western seaboard, months ago, but thanks to the quick reactions by Mobius's hero SONIC THE HEDGEHOG and the members of the Restoration, damage was too a minum-"* Shadow turns off the Tv. Sitting at his desk he enjoys his coffee beans, while he looks through documents.

            "Hello! We're ba-ck!" Rouge cheered, entering their office. Shadow ignores her and continues what he is doing. "Well, he-llo to you too, Shadow." Rouge said sarcastically. "So, you got any plans for the weekend?"

            "I assume you're asking, for the festival that will be happening?" Shadow askes, looking up form a missions report. Rouge stairs at him with her teal eyes, wide like a child in wonder. "As a matter of fact, I have a busy week... I need to clean ALL my guns. Iron my bed sheets. Go thru these documents. Think of more excuses. Also, you know I don't do gatherings." Shadow lists off for her.

            "So there's no way, I, could convince you to join us?" Rouge hummed. "No" is all Shadow says for an answer. Rouge smiles evilly, "Good, because I'm not the one who's going to convince you." Shadow was about to ask, what Rouge meant by that? Omega then walks in along with a young Rabbit, skipping into the room.

            "Good afternoon, Mr. Shadow.!" Cream the Rabbit said cheerfully. Her visitors pass flopping back and forth as she skipped to his desk, her hands behind her back.

            "Afternoon, Cream." Shadow greets her. Shadow glances at Rouge, who is still smiling. "What are you doing here? Are you on a trip, or something?"

            Cream shakes her head, no. "No, I came here to invite you to our party, at Mother's house." Cream hands up the hand drawn invitation, she made, to Shadow. Shadow is stump as to do, so he just takes the invitation. Opening it he sees the drawing Cream made for him with directions to her house. Vanilla had also went ahead and wrote her address for him, at the bottom. "Will you come, Mr. Shadow?" She asked.

            Shadow looks at the young rabbit, who is staring up at him with hopeful gleaming eyes. He wanted to tell her maybe, but he didn't want to disappoint her. "If I'm able to get off work... I'll make the effort to be there." Shadow tells her in his normal tone. Cream then hugs his leg before leaving with Omega. When Shadow was alone with Rouge he looks back into her direction. "I'm I right to assume you had a hand in this?" He asked annoyed.

            "That was actually, all Cream's doing. All I did was set up for the spike." Rouge grind, motioning her hand to herself.  Shadow just grunts as he sits back down. "Your not going to turn poor little Cream down, are you?" She asked in a concern voice.

              "I didn't say that." He said gruffly, as he looks at the hand drawn card.

            Shadow stands amongst the crowds of people who are enjoying the festival. How the party at Vanilla's house is going to go is, that after the main festival/ party they will all meet up at Vanilla's home to relax and have a real dinner. Shadow didn't want to admit it but he was looking forward to eating something other than Hot pockets and Doritos, for a change. While Shadow watches the crowd someone suddenly tackled him from behind, almost making him lose his footing.

            "SONIC!" Amy Rose cheered. Shadow couldn't believe what he was hearing. After all these years you think this pink hedgehog would figure out the difference between him and the faker. Shadow glares down at her, annoyed.
