Ch. 12- Flood of Emotions

        Rain pores down onto Seaside City, at its city's school building, children watch as the rain comes down. "Ms. Teacher? Are we going to be alright?" A little Possum asked her teacher. "Of course, Penelope. It's just raining a little harder today. You all have seen it rain like this before." The brunette human, tried to direct their attention to her and not the storm. "My dad says it hasn't rain like this since, he was 8." A little wolf said. Another child said, that the TV said there could be flooding. Their Teacher does her best to calm her students down. She tells them there is nothing to be scared about and that their school was on one of the highest points in their city.

        Their teacher then sees thru the window, some of the children's parents pulling in. The children run to the window to look for their parents. Amongst them is Cream the Rabbit, who is hoping her mother was safe.

        Vanilla the Rabbit is driving to Cream's school. She is using Mr. Vector's car while the Chaotix are out of town on a job; Vanilla works as their secretary. Vanilla has her wipers on full speed as she squints to see thru the rain. Suddenly she makes out a tree in the road. She breaks hard, but the road was slippery from the rain. She turns the wheel and crashes.

At GUN...

        "ROUGE! I SAID GIVE IT BACK!" Shadow yelled at his partner who was flying above his reach. Rouge sits on a rafter, "Then come up here and get it~". Rouge told him, as she crossed her legs and waved the book he was inbepth reading just a moment ago. "Oh, wait. I forgot. Your scared of heights." Rouge grins down at him.

         "Savage Passions Guatamañana Heat." Rouge read the title of the romance book, Shadow was reading. The Hedgehog was clearly angry with her teasing. Rouge tosses his book down to him, then flies down. Their communicators go off, signaling them. 

          "That's the last time I'll read this... trash." Shadow said to himself as he went to throw it, in anger and embarrassed. "Do that and you'll never know what happens to, Eloise after she leaves Juan Pablo for that mysterious billionaire~." Rouge cooed as she left. Shadow turns around first, then locks the book away in his bottom drawer.

       Team Dark and other members of GUN are now sent to Seaside City, for aid. Already there were parts of the city that was flooded. People and Mobians using whatever they could to keep out of the freezing water. Rouge is flying two mobians over to a boat. "Here's another two." Rouge called as they landed. Already her back was sore. *"This is, Agent Shadow. Our area is clear. I'm making another pass of the area to be sure."* Shadow radioed. "Don't do anything stupid. You hear me." Rouge radioed, Shadow.

        The two agents meet up with Omega at a rally point, the same school as earlier. "It was a good thing, we went thru again. We found another four on a roof." Shadow tells Rouge. Rouge tells Shadow she's going back out on sweeping the area, while Shadow's heading down to help build a barrier. "Maybe if we can redirect the flow, we can reduce the damage to some parts." Rouge tells Shadow. Just then a little Rabbit plows into Rouges leg. "Cream!?" They both say.

        "Have you seen my mom?" Cream wined, in fear. Rouge gets down on a knee and holds the young rabbit. "Your moms going to be fine, Cream. I'm sure she's on her way here, you just need to stay here until she does." Rouge soothed the Rabbit. Cream wipes a tear and nods in understanding. "Cream I want you to wait for your mom with someone, while me and Rouge are out there." Shadow tells her. Rouge grabs a field bag on the way out.

Shadow's POV.

        Shadow is running as fast as he can to the barrier. When he gets there, there are people already putting up sand bags. "Everyone out of the way!" Shadow ordered. Once they moved, Shadow raised back his arm and yelled, "CHAOS, Slash!" Shadow whips his arm, causing the ground to buckle up creating a barricade several feet high. "Leave those bags as a secondary, just in case!" Shadow yelled.
