The season of endless blue continues wherever we go.

That day was like any other, with its bright blue clear skies and the birds chirping on the trees. It was the beginning of our youth, we were all supposed to just be kids- to be able to experience our teenage years in peace. If we had known what would unfold in the years that were to pass, would we have all still wanted to take the road less taken? Or would we have taken the other path on that fork road?

But that vast infinite blue was so captivating, with its clouds hovering above us, the dashes of white coming and going, blending and parting together- we all couldn't help but be captured by its invitation. It was the only thing that remained constant, even as the days passed by against us and our hands became bloodstained. Our soft smiles once filled with innocence and naivete, were now nothing but a mask to hide our true intentions.

Yet, despite our hardened hearts, we couldn't help but still seek out our youth that was taken away from us too soon. We all wake up each and every day, living with the guilt, but we continue to live on for those whose lives were taken away too soon- because we owe it to them to keep on going; To live the lives that they were unable to. We owe it to Yu, and we owe it to Suguru.

There is nothing to obstruct the view before our aligned eyes

There is nothing to obstruct the view before our aligned eyes.

We've both always known, didn't we, Satoru? That this was how our lives were going to turn out. We've both known since we were kids, haven't we? As we both stare at the graves in front of us. As our hands became filled with both the blood of our comrades and curses, as we continue to be henchmen for the higher-ups and do their bidding.

Now we're stuck reflecting in front of the mirror of the choices we've made, we continue to stare at the mirror to the point our own reflections become unrecognizable. Sometimes I fear that I'll wake up and a complete stranger will stare back at me, that the person that I once was will nothing be but a memory. And I'm beyond terrified, Satoru, of the person I'm becoming- no, of the person I'm willing to become to protect all of you.
