Miguel scrolled on his phone, catching up on all of the recent news. The gizmo had still remained on his wrist, not even coming close to being fixed. They had been at a table on a patio just near the beach for the whole day. They had already eaten lunch and dinner there, and Y/n didn't even try to hide her boredom. The fries in the small basket in front of her began to disappear as hours went by.
She witnessed the sun go down, the only thing lighting up the beach was the yellow lights on the boardwalk and the colorful hues of the attractions on it, such as the ferris wheel and the funhouse. But that was all the way on the other side of the beach, and Y/n knew for a fact Miguel wouldn't walk there with her.
She threw a series of questions at Miguel to try to start a conversation, but he just looked at her, then looked back to his phone. She sighed. She found it obvious that whatever was on his phone was more interesting than her. She tapped her foot, changing her position in her chair every now and then.
She inhaled, the boredom getting out of hand. "Will you stop moving so much?" Miguel asks, still staring at his phone.
Her eyebrows turn down in annoyance, "Can you get off your phone?" She asks back.
"Why?" He looks up at her finally.
She sighed, "Cause I want to talk to you." She states. He hummed like a robot, raising his eyebrows and looking back down at his phone. She exhaled in defeat, going back to watching the night sky and fidgeting in her chair.
She felt like they were wasting time. They were slumping around when they could be out doing something fun. They were only there for that one time, and this is what they were doing. Y/n looked at Miguel, then at the pier. She thought for a second, before pushing out her chair and standing up.
She went around the table, passing Miguel. His eyes finally peeled off his phone as he looked at her from the back, noticing that she wasn't stopping.
He pushed his chair back as well, jogging after her. "Y/n," He says her name with softness at first, but then the second time he says it he shouts, "Y/n!" She stepped off the patio, her shoes reaching the warm sand, she tossed them off, and Miguel followed her actions.
She reached the pier, climbing up a small set of stairs and running to the end of it. It hovered above the ocean, a short distance separating the water from the wood. She reached the end of it, and Miguel got there shortly after her.
She peeled off her shirt, leaving her in only her bra. "What are you doing?" Miguel says, looking down then quickly catching himself, averting his eyes back to her face.
"Take off your shirt." She speaks, not believing that she was really being this bold.
"Y/n, what? What are you talking about?" He questions, looking down at her.
She looked up at him, a big height difference between the two. "Taking off your shirt." She says again, this time softer. "I want to swim." She smiles and tugs at his shirt gently. He was hypnotized by her eyes, and how they shined in the moonlight. He found himself listening to her orders, peeling off his shirt as his eyes were on her the whole time.
She watches him, her eyes flickering to every muscle on his body. It was like someone wanted to sculpt a perfect statue, and their mission was accomplished. She pulls down her shorts, leaving her in her underwear. She looks down to the water, finding that it was hard to tear her eyes from his.
"We can't swim, bruja." He states, she had no reaction to the nickname, she had already grown used to it."We'll get sick."
She looks at him once, before looking back at the water. She smirked.
