When Y/n got back to her apartment from a long day of work, she pushed open the door of the spare bedroom, wondering why this mysterious man had to sleep so much. "Up." She said, opening the blinds.
He groaned, covering his eyes with his forearm. "Ay, bruja why are you up so early??"
"I told you not to call me that." She hissed, snatching the covers from him. "Plus, it's not early it's literally 8 pm."
He leaned his head back onto the pillows. "Well, this is the time I fall asleep." He sassed back.
"Whatever, give me your watch." She demanded, holding out her hand.
"What? No!" He sat up, grasping his wrist away from her. He scowled, offended that she would call it a watch again. "Why would I give this to a woman who's name I don't even know!?"
"Do you want me to fix it or not? Give it to me!" Put one knee on the bed, reaching to snatch it from his wrist.
"How would you fix it? Huh?" He moved his wrist in the air, she put her other knee on the other side of him, practically straddling him now.
"Well maybe if you would just give it, I could tell you!" She reached for it, but his arm was much too extended and long for her to get it. She would've used her abilities, if she didn't realize the situation she was in. She became conscious of how her legs were around him, and how close they had gotten.
She huffed, picking herself off of the bed. "Fine, then you're coming with me." She stood up, she held her hand up, letting her magic flow out through her fingertips.
"No. no. no. no. no. no. no. no. no!" He shouted. Wisps of beige magic wrapped around him and forced him to stand up. "I am in a totally new dimension! Do you know what this could do?" A hat flew to him, along with a coat. While she walked he noticed that beige magic surrounded her as well, putting her in a hoodie and flared leggings.
"You look like a normal person. It's fine. No one will think anything of it." She shrugged, "And you don't want to give me your stupid watch-"
"It's more than a watch." He intervened, but she just scoffed. She opened the window to the fire exit, jumping on it with a clang.
"C'mon." She motions with her hand. Miguel groaned, having no choice but to follow. She jumped over the small fence surrounding it, going down 40 stories and using her magic to land safely. The magic spread out on the floor, before disappearing slowly.
Miguel then jumped down, using his claws to lighten his landing. They walked through the streets of Manhattan, the average amount of people out during this time of day. Y/n picked up swoons from ladies whilst Miguel walked past them. She rolled her eyes, what could they possibly see in him?
They turned into an alley, going down it to the back of the Cafe. Miguel stopped walking, yet Y/n continued, determine to meet up with this mysterious lady. "Bruja..." He used the nickname since he still wasn't sure of her real one.
"What?" She turned back sharply, extremely irritated.
"I don't think this is a good idea." He states, concern in his voice. All of his senses were going off right now, and everything in his brain was telling him to turn back.
She sighed. "Well, suck it up. We're five minutes late already." She took his hand, which had been weirdly comforting to hold. She dragged him on, using her magic to pick at the lock in the back and remove the security cameras.
"No, bruja." He said once again, tugging his hand back.
"Fine, I'll do this by myself." Beige wisps wrapped around his watch, he looked at it, taken aback. The watch detached from his hand, and flew to Y/n's.
