Gia walked to Jacob and smiled at him. "Jacob, how have you been?" This part of her job was her least favorite, but it had to be done.

"Fine, Boss and you?"

"Well, I've been better Jake. I've just learned that I have a rat in my Family and that makes me so sad."

Jacob followed Gia with his head as she began to walk back and forth in front of him. He wasn't the rat, but he knew who was.

"I promise you, Boss, I'm not the rat. I know who it is, or I think I know who it is."

"Really? Enlighten me then, Jacob because when I feel this sad the only thing that makes me feel better is target practice." And fucking Anthony she thought looking at her friend who shot her a knowing look and winked at her.

"I've been tracking everyone like you asked me to do. Everyone in the Family has the tracker in place and they're all bugged, and no one has stepped out of bounds. No inappropriate calls made but there was one discrepancy at Bruno's Place."

Gia stopped pacing and gave Jacob her undivided attention. "Who was the discrepancy? And what did they do?"

"Tatiana made two calls to one of the Drago Family Captains. I don't know if she's dating him or if she was feeding him information. I promise that I've kept my mouth shut. You take excellent care of me, and I would never betray you." He turned his forearm and showed her his mark. "Not by blood but by heart." Jacob repeated her father's words showing her the Benedetti brand.

"Good Jake. I'm glad you're not the rat but Tatiana isn't the rat either. No one but Family knows who I am. I need you to find me that rat Jake, and I want him or her by the end of the week."

"Her? I thought women couldn't join the ranks?" Jacob sounded confused.

"They can't, but wives and girlfriends do exist. Find the rat Jake and get in my good graces again. You don't want to be on my naughty list now do you?"

"No boss, I really don't. May I be excused?"

Gia waved him off with her hand and walked over to Anthony who sat in the office talking to Gio.

Once he hung up the phone, he gave Gia an apologetic look. "I fucked up."

"No, you fucked the wrong woman. I want to know if Tatiana is dating Dante's Captain and find out who the hell he is. I want that rat Anthony," she said.

He saw her light brown eyes looking at him in a way that she had never looked at him before. They had a shroud of doubt in them and that pissed him off. He stood up and went to stand in front of her making her tilt her head back to look in his grey eyes.

"You're not just another woman I fuck, Gia. You're my family. I may not be in love with you, but I love you more than life itself. I would never betray you." He took his gun out from his holster next to his ribs and handed it to her. "If you think I would betray you shoot me right here, because your doubt will break me." He aimed the gun at his heart with her hand holding it.

"My father taught you and me both never to trust one hundred percent." She handed him his gun back and walked out of the warehouse satisfied that Anthony wasn't the rat. He was hiding something, but she would find out eventually what it was. She always did. Gio was also taken out of the running because she knew him well and her father told her if there was a man she could trust one hundred percent, it was Gio, although it went against everything he had taught her. She would have to make up her own mind about that and only time would tell.

Sitting in the back of the SUV, Gia thought that perhaps she had been sleeping the wrong man all along. Anthony was a good man, but he was a wildcard when it came to women, and he was bound to have sex with the wrong one and that would come and bite her on the ass not him.
