memories

Train traveling past the time,
The book drops with a chime.
Here and there I took a while,
I see people with a galivanting smile.
Eyes reach sometimes,
With a masquerading smile, the world mimes.

I speak.

My soul stirred with memories,
And I see the pictures like the documentaries,
Lost back in memories,
Don't find me, I'm lost in centuries.

Flash past to a few hours later,
My phone pinged with your one-in-million message,
And I thought, "Oh, you still remember me?"
Oh here come the memories,
A picture with finite words and infinite feelings.

I speak.

I was a clown,
Memories flown,
I meet you with a frown,
And I saw the whole thing as a breakdown.

"Souvenirs" were never there for me nor did you leave,
Guess my memories were fetched.
Well, this ends with me back with fleeting memories,
And it's much more than documentaries.

I speak.

It was a movie, for you
It was a moment, for me.
