"Your tragedies can leave wounds that, if left uncared for, will inevitably turn into scars. But these scars are not ugly; they tell infinite untold stories," he said, sitting beside her on the steps of the front door. "However, the scars etched on your heart need attention. Leaving them unattended is like walking on eggshells, as they might turn into monsters someday."
"That's what I am now, aren't I?" She spoke quietly.
"No. You're human, with a beautiful soul, who has been hurt by everyone yet still stood up for herself," he said, gently holding her hands. His eyes searched for her lost soul in her pale blue eyes.
She chuckled at his words.
"I'm serious. You need to heal. Please, I'm begging you, let someone stay beside you and walk with you. It's okay to cry on someone's shoulder and share your story. Please, don't keep it all inside and hurt yourself."
She smiled at the distant flowers dancing in the wild wind. "It's better if it stays with me. Let the pain and stories die with me."
"If it makes you happy, you can share them with someone. Why can't you do the same?"
"You can't spread the pain and scars to everyone. When tragedy happens to you, you won't even find a language to express it to anyone, nor will you trust anyone," she stood up.
"You just become numb after the tragedy...numb."Halsey
