"Snowball, can you stop following us?" Max muttered. Trotting alongside her boyfriend, Gidget peered over her shoulder and added firmly, "Maybe you should go and look for Daisy. She doesn't know her way around the city that well yet." Hopping two steps behind the two lovebirds, Snowball smiled absentmindedly and replied, "She'll be fine, I just wanna follow you guys around for a while." Whipping around, Max growled, "Why you little-"
"Just ignore him Maxie, he'll grow bored," Gidget whispered, trying to calm her boyfriend down. The Pomeranian lovingly nuzzled the Jack Russell terrier. Watching them, Snowball merely rolled his eyes. There was no need for Max to be freaking out. He was a responsible rabbit, he knew what to do. Closing his eyes, he quietly hummed to the best of running footsteps.
Wait, running footsteps?
"Woah, hang on guys. I'm hearing something," Snowball piped up. Max and Gidget stopped in their tracks. Turning around, Gidget asked, "What do you mean?" Snowball didn't answer right away. He was down on his hands and knees, an ear placed near the ground. Standing next to his girlfriend, Max suddenly froze up, the fur along his back bristling in anxiousness. Slowly glancing over at Gidget, he rasped, "Run."
"Over there!" a gruff voice shouted, alerting the three pets. The trio whipped around and looked in the direction of the voice. It belonged to Derick, one of the two crocodiles in the gang the Flushed Pets. He was joined by Tattoo the pig, Bearded Dragon the lizard and Ripper the boxer. All four were running towards them.
"Oh snap! Run!" Snowball shouted. The white rabbit didn't even bother waiting for the two dogs as he bolted. Scrambling to catch up, Max and Gidget could hear the Flushed Pets gaining on them. "This is the worst game ever!" Max barked, dodging to the left when Bearded Dragon attempted to pounce on him, "If we meet up with Snowball again any time soon I'm gonna strangle him!"
"Max duck!" Gidget yipped. Max did so just as she leaped over him effortlessly and smacked Tattoo in the face. She then jumped off of him and, after twirling in the air gracefully, kicked Derick so hard in the chest he toppled over. Landing on her paws like a cat, she turned to the final Flushed Pet in the area. Letting out a small grunt, Ripper sat down. He wasn't even gonna bother with the Pomeranian. Watching his girlfriend this whole time in awe, Max mumbled, "God you're hot..."
"Aw, thank you Maxie," Gidget replied with a giggle. Both dogs stared at each other blushing. Clearing his throat with a cough, Tattoo pointed out, "Hey lovebirds, there's more of us in the area. You might wanna run." At that very moment, the group could hear more animals coming. "Okay thank you! Bye bye now!" Max called over his shoulder as he and Gidget ran away from the scene. Gidget added, "Sorry for beating you up!"
