in which, an old magic typewriter.————
Jennie sighed as she stepped foot outside the school building. She had been staying over at the school for a few hours to finish some important work. The sky was already dark and full of angry clouds that lashed harsh tears. The canopy above her allowed her to stay dry, but she knew she couldn't just wait for the rain to go away. She knew the storm wasn't going to stop anytime soon.
Having no other option, Jennie popped out her umbrella, which she hoped was strong enough to resist the heavy rain. It just had to be that day her mother was in work, and she had no money for public transport.
The girl began to get in a fast paced walk, clutching tightly so her umbrella wouldn't go flying to the other side of the city.
She went her normal way, but tried to find some shortcuts. Jennie had walked nearly halfway now and the rain only grew stronger. She stopped as she was in front of the dark alleyway that she never dared pass through. It just always looked so unsafe and sketchy. But a sudden and first sound of thunder made her flinch, and that was enough for her to speed through the shortcut.
"Ah!" Jennie yelped, nearly planting her face flat on the ground, luckily she was able to catch herself. Her shoe had caught onto something that made her trip. "What the hell?" She questioned, curiously eyeing the olden-day typewriter that was weirdly completely dry.
Something, she didn't know what, urged her to take it home with her. And so she did. Jennie grabbed the machine and held it close to her stomach area for the rest of the journey.
Quickly entering her home, the girl took off her shoes and shook off some excess rain from her umbrella and allowed it to dry by the radiator. Heading up to her bedroom, Jennie rushed to comfortably get changed into her pyjamas, setting the old writing device on her desk.
She inspected the ancient thing, not really having any idea how to work one. She did what one who had common sense did. Put paper inside. Jennie wasn't sure if the thing even had a bit of ink inside and started messing around with it.
nancy mcdonie will miss the bus tomorrow.
Nancy McDonie was a girl in Jennie's class that thought she was better than everyone else, thinking she could act snotty and rude to everyone in her way. She always stuck by the popular boys, especially around the soccer team's captain and star player, Lisa Manoban. Jennie hated her.
And to her surprise, the words actually typed.
Thinking nothing of it, Jennie got all cozy inside the comforts of her pink bed, gazing off into her own dreamland.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
The Korean girl's alarm blared through the bedroom, interrupting a really exciting part of her fantasy dream. Damn, she hated waking up early. Lazily dragging herself up, Jennie did her usual morning routine; make her bed, shower, brush teeth and get changed.
It was still quite early so she was able to eat breakfast on time, and after politely asked her dad to drop her off at school, to which he obviously agreed.
Jennie was already in class by the time the bell rang, calmly watching as the heavy rain pelted against the windows. Students filled the empty classroom, the teacher soon following. Throughout the middle of his teachings, the door burst open and a drenched Nancy McDonie walked in.
Everything stared in silence, maybe just the quiet laughing at the back of the class from the boys, no words were said. She sat down at her desk and you could clearly see the horrible state her makeup was in. "Well, good morning to you too, Nancy." The teacher said, marking her down for a detention.
