The classroom is filled with spirited chatter and laughter that drowned out the annoying clattering of chairs every now and then. The air vibrated in energy of chaotic teenagers, voices competing for attention, overlapping each other in an overwhelming symphony that reverberated off the walls, drowning out any hope for concentration and silence.
Amongst the obnoxious chatter sat a noiseless blonde, sat soundless and still. Pencil scratching softly against his paper, working amidst the chaos as if it's not happening, skilled and unbothered. He's sat alone, the loud commotion failing to swallow his thoughts with the sea of unwanted sound, far too used to it to let it bother him, his feeble attempts of wishing for it to be less boisterous being ruthlessly ignored.
The echoing laughter and animated conversations ricocheted from corner to corner, bouncing off the classrooms every nook and cranny, it almost makes him miss the sound of the wooden door opening, one glance up he's uninterested by the principal that walks in, almost ready for the stern voice to overlap the loud room, finally shut down the commotion.
"..-And this will be where you spend every morning for homeroom, and it just so happens to be the class you should be in now." The elder smiles sweetly, looking at the student who just moved into town, happy to take a new attendee into her hands.
The relentless chorus of voices mixed with the rhythmic shuffling of papers and the occasional slam of textbooks hitting the desk creates an auditory tapestry that fills the room. The clamor echoes in the unfamiliar teenagers ears, making it challenging to obtain any distinct words or thoughts for the elder next to him. It feels as if the noise had taken on a life of its own, an overpowering force that demands attention and refuses to be silenced, not daring to give anyone who enters a chance to shut it down.
He remembers just the other day he had taken his first tour, it was empty of students and wasn't step by step as his tour is now, haven't yet gotten his schedule until now. Seeing the once soundless classroom being transformed into an unmelodious arena of sound where individual voices merge into a single symphony of noise makes him wonder if he's qualified to join the unfamiliar space that dares anyone to enter with the overwhelming symphonies.
"So, any questions? Comments.. concerns?"
The student blinks, shaking his head gently, the boisterous atmosphere nothing new to him as he's sure every school has its unkempt times of sociable moments that makes focus elusive and concentration become a distant dream, he himself partaking in any moment that allows him to be distracted from the work at hand.
"I'm so terribly sorry about the noise" upon the new voice he looks over seeing a slightly shorter woman who looks at the principal stood next to him, his eyes shifting to the other again almost awkward as he stands cluelessly.
"No worries. This is Colby, he's just moved into town, he'll be joining you for homeroom, and right now" she informs, the thunderous chatter aggravating but she makes it her mission to keep her cool to make a lovely first impression on the boy.
"Great, hi. It's nice to meet you! I'm sure you'll blend in wonderfully" Colby smiles, nodding his head once "now if you mind.." the principal motions to the noise before turning to the boy "introduce yourself."
"Class!" The teachers voice strains to be heard above the tumult, her feeble attempts being swallowed by the sea of noise.
Colby cringes at the failed attempts, allowing his eyes to bounce around the active classroom, taking his chance to take in each persona before all eyes are on him.
He's surprised to find the single soul sat soundless in the back, face rested in an unbothered manner, head down and at work. He almost chuckles at the thought of the impossible, it seems inevitable to get nothing done with all the noise.
The blondes face shifts upward when hearing the singular clap and shout for attention, eyes finding his teacher failing to gather the kids' attention. Soon, however, the chaos is shut down by a whistle of the principal, the seemingly untamable commotion finally dying down and swallowed by a void of silence, walls stilling as there's no vibrations pushing against them, atmosphere being noiseless as it's sea of auditory noise becomes a calm wave of the ocean against the sea breeze.
A soft and irritated "thank you" is first to break the still air, turning to the teacher and motioning her to continue. She smiles, putting a hand up as if to display the brunette for those to look at "we have a new student that will be joining us," she looks at him "please. Introduce yourself."
His hand lifts for a small wave, giving a straight lipped smile "Colby" he gives his name for those to hear, observing how a few girls nudge each other and whisper whilst others give bored looks, annoyed their conversations were hushed.
"Give a fact! Where'd you come from?" The teacher beams, the suggestion making Colby want to scowl, not wanting to give out personal information to strangers "Los Angeles" the older gasps, only one interested in his words "ooh how fun. Must be challenging getting used to Kansas coming from such a busy state."
"All right! I expect you all to behave, if I happen to hear you all horsing around I won't be happy" the principal cuts off the rather uncomfortable conversation and Colby is welcomed to fill in any open seat.
The blonde observes the new boy, he's not too sure what to think of him just yet, but by the looks of it he's sure he'll fit well with the quote on quote "populars". Their eyes meet amongst the growing chatter and he offers a small smile when he receives one first and his heart almost drops when he finally takes a step, declaring silently to take the empty seat next to him, thinking it'd be better to sit next to someone not as obnoxious as the rest of the class for the first day here.
"Yo! You can sit here!" A voice shouts, waving him over with a friendly smile, tugging his backpack off the empty seat. The brunette shrugs, taking a different route than before, deciding to take the offer when his mind opens to the thought of a new friend.

hey! I missed writing full stories and can't be more happy to start up again :) !
please ignore the way the writing stops being so descriptive throughout the book- it's off and on between chapters but I promise it's not a huge issue ! I apologize if it's noticed and is bothersome.
Anyways I hope you guys will love this one as much as my others! <33
Also side note!! I used different forms of poetry to help write / open chapters, don't be alarmed if it happens to look or sound familiar. I figured I should mention this instead of silently claiming it all as my own writing as I used some concepts that aren't mine, however the storyline and everything else IS mine. And the poetry aspects aren't entirely the main idea of the story as a whole.
