When I arrived at school this morning, I was surprised to see a note on my locker from Chloe and Jenny

GUESS WHO'S GOING TO THE HALLOWEEN DANCE?! MEET US IN THE JANITOR'S CLOSET ASAP!!

The janitor's closet, that's a weird place to meet as I look around
I decided to take the note down and throw it in the trash
As soon as I stepped inside, I could tell Chloe and Jenny were super excited
"Guess who's going I the Halloween dance?!!" Jenny says excitedly
"Um... who?" I asked
Jenny has already received loads of invitations but turn them down, same with Chloe with two guys asking her
But at the end they decided to decline them and go together as friends
"Since we going together I arranged for a guy to be your date! Sort of!" Jenny squealed
"sort of? What do you mean....."
I didn't like the sound of it
I was already starting to get a really bad feeling about this guy thing
That's when Chloe and Jenny explained their crazy plan for how I was gonna get a date
All in just five easy steps:
Step 1: I was going to join Jenny in the Halloween dance clean up crew
Step 2: We all was gonna arrive at the dance half a hour early
Step 3: We quickly spread the rumor that one of the guys onstage with the band is my date (even though it's clearly a lie)
Step 4: Since the band is going to be busy performing the entire night, I didn't have to worry about it
Step 5: we'll have FUN as the CCP gossip about my date
This plan was Almost as bizarre as the one where they were going to run away and live in the street underground tunnels of the New York City public Library
"Hold up Hold up"
"I appreciate the idea of not wanting me to be a third wheel or feel left out but I only have one guy in mind and that is Brandon" I claim
The dangerous part is that the whole thing could easily backfire and ruin our reputation
Jenny was part of the CCP herself so she be fine but for us
Chloe was the fifth unpopular girl well I was all the way at the bottom being eighth even the janitor and lunch lady was more popular than me
Since there would be a substantial risk I could end up more unpopular than black mold, we definitely needed a better idea
"Okay I think this entire this is out of portion, this is totally lame let's just drop it"
Chloe and Jenny got really quiet and just stood there staring at me, alarmist surprised
Despite the other part I still decided to sign up and help Jenny, and so did Chloe
The sign up sheets for the Halloween dance committee were posted on the bulletin board right outside the office door
Lucky for us only Jenny and a guy named Sebastian signed up
The thing that really bothered me though was the sign up for the chair person of the Halloween dance committee
Half of the names was crossed out, I beta the name Mackenzie had something to do with it
She was always competitive even resorting into cheating if she had to, so it wouldn't surprise me
I prayed that violet baker or Theodore Swagmire be selected as chairperson
Otherwise the clean up crew was going to turn into the worst
