Chapter eight
We all were silent throughout the ride, we entered the mall and started shopping, Aisha didn't even looked at me, okay I know why.
Umar paid for everything when we finished shopping,
"Em I think we should call baba sani"said Aisha
"Yes let me call him"
I replied which gained me a glare from her, yes I know I'll be a dead meat today.
"So can I get your number now? "
He said distracting me from calling baba sani,
I thought for some minutes before answering, a mind was telling me to give him since that's what I have been waiting for, but another mind is telling me not to give him because he might thinks I gave him because he paid for our shoppings, that wasn't it actually, I have been wanting to give him but now that he paid for our items would make him think I gave him because he spent on us.
I looked at Aisha who looked me too before looking away meaning she would not interfere, I should do what I felt was right,
"Pls give me a second "
I said to him before going to meet Aisha ,
"Aisha what is it? "
I said giving her an apology look even though I wasn't at fault,
"You want me to shout it here in public or when we get back home "she yelled gaining looks from people passing by and even Umar.
"Okay I'm sorry, but do you think I should give him my number? I mean won't he think its because of these? "
I asked her pointing the polythenes in our hands lowering my voice so he wouldn't hear us.
"you are a fool summy, of course give him, you like him too, don't you? "She said in a low tune too but I could still hear the anger in her voice.
I turned and went to the said man who has been looking at us,
I offered him my hand for his phone so I can put the number but to my surprise he didn't give me, rather he said
"So you have to ask your sister before giving me the number? Can't you decide yourself? Thank you but I don't need it anymore since you're giving me out of someone's else decision, "
He said before entering his car and zoomed off.
I stood there with a wide mouth looking at his moving car,
"This guy is not nice sumayyah, stop crushing on him already "
I heard Aisha's voice from behind me,
I couldn't even talk because I was pissed off by his sudden actions, but he has the right to be angry or so I thought.
I called baba sani, he came and took us home with both me and Aisha very tired, we didn't meet anyone in the living room so we all headed upstairs to our various rooms.
I showered and prayed magrib as it was already time, before leaving to my mum's room, I went and had a small talks with her before going back to my room, I prayed ishai just as when Aisha entered my room, okay the drama queen was here to make my evening a living hell,
"Aisha you know it wasn't my fault, I felt bad when he ignored you too, by Allah I felt bad"
I said since before she starts yelling
"Hey I know, and I'm not here for that, I just came to discuss something with you"
Aisha of all people didn't complain today? Wowwww
"Okay what is it? "
I asked as i sat on the bed while she sat on a stool in front of the vanity table
"Its about Yy usman, he has been pestering me since and I sincerely don't know what to say to him again, I've told him times without number that I don't like him, but he is still disturbing me"
She said headpanning her head.
I bursted out laughing as I looked at her fuming with rage
"Seriously sumayyah? I'm talking to you about my problem and you're here laughing at me? "
Yy usman was our cousin brother from our father's side, they lived in kano but he works in kaduna, kawo, that was why he usually comes to our house whenever he is free, he started liking Aisha but she refused saying he wasn't her type, Yy usman is a short man with a bald head, he attempted so many times to talk about marriage but Aisha wasn't helping matters.
"Okay I'm s..sorry"
I said in between laughter
" mstwww"
She stood up to go but I immediately shut up and grabbed her hand.
"Hey I'm sorry, okay? "
I said finally stopping the laughter
"What do you think I should do? "
She asked as if she wanted to cry
"Okay I think you should tell dad, tell him you don't like him so that he can talk to him himself, maybe he'll hear him and leave you alone"
I adviced
"Yes I was thinking of that too, because he might even meet daddy and tell him he wants to marry me, and you know elders, they will start saying yes it will even strengthen our bond as families, marrying Yy usman is the last thing in my mind summy"
She said with a disturbed face.
"Don't worry Aisha, in Sha Allah, nothing bad will happen "
I comforted before she left.

Days went by with me always thinking of sumayyah, I got a little upset the other day because she was willing to give me her number after asking her sister,i wanted to just forget her but I couldn't.
I was sitting in my office thinking about going to thier house after I finished for the day,I could still remember the house, so I decided i would go and see her,not that I loved her but I liked her and wanted to befriend her.
I was so lost in my thinking when my secretary entered with some files in her hand.
"Sir these are the papers you will sign on"
She said keeping the papers on my huge desk,
"Okay, I will go through them later.. "
Before I could finish talking, she barged into the office as if her father owned it, she came in chewing chewing gum in a disgusting manner,
"Saddiqa you may leave "I said to my secretary.
"Okay sir"
Was her reply before she turned and left.

The drama is starting soon, but let's be honest what Umar did to Aisha was not right na, atleast he should have said hi but he was rude and didn't even spare her a glance. 😭
And who is this girl that dared to barge into Umar's office like that? 👀
