BEYOND WORDS
Chapter twenty three.
In a big silver painted parlour, there were three people seated, two were seated on one couch and a young lady on a couch next to theirs.
They all were silent for minutes trying to figure something out but they couldn't.
It was hajiya maryam that finally broke the silence and said "alhaji I think you should call him and confirm, because we sitting here won't solve this, look at this girl fisabilillah, she's refusing to eat since yesterday, see how pale she looks"
She said pointing at thier daughter safy.
Alhaji habib brought out his phone and dailed alhaji Suleiman's number.
He picked after three rings,they exchanged pleasantries before alhaji habib asked
"Ehm is your son umar seeing somebody else?"
Alhaji Suleiman was shocked to hear such question but he acted okay and replied "no, no he's not, but why are you asking?"
"Nothing I just wanted to confirm some stuff but its okay now, my regards to the family "
Alhaji habib replied calming down from his anger.
"Okay, my regards too"
He said and hung up.
"He said umar is not seeing anybody, are you sure of what you are saying safiyyah?"
Her father interrogated.
"I'm sure daddy, I saw them together at his office, she even went with food "
Spoilt safy said.
"Com'on my girl,you have to take things easy, umar is already yours so there's nothing to worry about, he will be your husband in just a few weeks have you forgotten?"
Her mother chirped in.
That was when she even remembered that thier wedding date has been fixed, she immediately went and hugged her mother happily as her father just smiled. Such a spoilt brat they want Umar to marry, mtswww.
"I'll be in my room"
She said to both her parent jumping in happiness, she went to her room and took her phone. She called her best friend hanan and told her everything that had happened when she went to umar's office and all.
Her friend suggested something as they both laughed loudly.
"Reason why I like you hanan"
She said and bursted out laughing.
"But the thing is, I don't know her address, I'll assign Abdul to find her address and send to me then we can go"
She said again.
"Yes and tell him to do that immediately"
They continued talking on what to do when they reached there...

"I told you to stop seeing that girl but you didn't right?"
Alhaji Suleiman who was fuming with anger yelled at his son.
"but Abba I thought we are already done with this chapter, you said you want me to marry your friend's daughter and I've accepted, even though I have a girl that I love but I still accepted to marry the one of your choice even though I don't like her"
"Umar"
His father called.
"I just want you to keep this at the back of your mind that except if Safiyyah says she don't like you, but you must marry her"
"Yes yes, because she is loved she can get what she wants, but I'm not, I'm not loved so I can be given anything even when I hate it the most, I understand Abba"
Umar said extremely angry and immediately left the room because he knew if he continue sitting there, he might say what he would regret later.

"Aisha what are you still doing?"
Sumayyah shouted Aisha's name from the house compound.
"I'm coming I'm coming, I was just doing something very important "
Aisha yelled back.
"Okay okay come let's start"
Sumayyah said who was dressed in a skirt and blouse atamfa, she had her face natural as always, just a bit of lip gloss and that's all.
They planned on snapping pictures on that sunny day, saying that the pictures would come out looking great and beautiful.
Aisha was wearing a yellow and red material which was sown into a fitted gown.
They started taking the pictures from selfies to one snapping one.
Just then their gate man walked up to them and said"assalamu alaikum, sumayyah ana nemanki a waje(sumayyah someone wants to see you outside)"
"Waye(who)"
She asked Because she wasn't expecting anyone not even a friend, and she knew it wasn't umar because he would have called her and told her himself, them who could it be?
"Wasu yen mata ne guda biyu(some two ladies) "
He replied.
"Toh kace Musu ina zuwa(okay, tell them I'm coming) "
Sumayyah turned and looked at Aisha surprisingly while Aisha gave her the same look.
"Let's go and see"
Aisha said.
"Okay"sumayyah replied as they walked out.
