BEYOND WORDS
Chapter twenty four.
Aisha first went out before sumayyah did.
"Assalamu alaikum, are you the ones looking for me?"
Safy and hanan looked at each other before laughing.
"Hi sumayyah, the sumayyah that have the guts to compete with me, you are not that bad I must admit, I see why my husband keeps following you like a fool"
Safy said glaring at sumayyah.
Both sumayyah and Aisha were confused, who was she talking about, and what husband, as far as she knew Umar was the only person following her and he wasn't married was he?
"Excuse me who are you talking about?" She confusely asked but this time around it was hanan that answered her.
"Umar of course you useless fellow"
It was after she mentioned umar that she remembered she's seen her when she went to umar's office, but he said she wasn't important then what was all that? If she wasn't really important then why was she there?.
Her heart started racing as if it wanted to come out from her chest.
Even Aisha was startled, her umar was married? Sumayyah was super shocked at that moment, so Umar had been playing her all this while? No he was serious since he came with his mom to thier house, but even after that he could still be playing her. So many things like that running in her mind as tears gathered in her eyes but couldn't fall.
"But umar is not married"
Aisha spoke this time around.
"Of course he's not, but he will soon".
Safy said smiling evilly.
Aisha has even forgotten that sumayyah was there, jealousy and anger took the best of her so she said.
"Yes but to me, he will soon be married to me, who are you? And why are you saying such nonsense about umar, he would never marry anybody except me,I am his only wife"
She retorted emphasizing the 'wife'.
it was after she said what she has said before she turned and saw sumayyah looking at her surprisingly, the tears that were in her eyes started falling like a tap. What is Aisha saying? She also loves Umar? What... What has she done to deserve seeing a day like that?.
"Wait what? I'm confused, who is umar seeing between you two? I thought it is you sumayyah"she said pointing at sumayyah.
"I'm also confused, but whosoever is planning a future with umar among you should better come to her senses and stop, because we might be easy and cool now but not our next time coming, umar is marrying safy In the next two weeks"
Hanan said emphasizing her last words before they both entered the car and left.
Sumayyah was more shocked when she heard what the person she took for best friend and sister said.
She then ran inside with her wet face, she didn't even know what she was feeling and she didn't know what to hold responsible for her feelings at that moment.
Should she cry because umar cheated and lied to her or cry because her best friend and sister disappointed and cheated her or for the both.
She ran straight to where she knew she would find peace, that's her mother's room.
She didn't even knocked before berging into the room. Her mother who wasn't even in the room but in the kitchen saw when her daughter was running inside with an unpleasant face.
She then washed her hands and left the kitchen to see what's happening but clashed with Aisha who wasn't crying but also had an unpleasant face.
"Aisha what's happening?why did sumayyah ran inside crying and your face doesn't look normal too"
Of course Aisha couldn't talk but also ran away to her room leaving hajiya mansura with a surprised and curios face.
She then went to sumayyah's room but couldn't find her even in the bathroom so she went straight to her room knowing that its the only place sumayyah goes to whenever she is upset.
She entered the room and as expected she saw sumayyah on her bed crying profusely.
"Subhanallah khairat what is it? Did you and Aisha fought? Talk to me"
Hajiya mansura asked worriedly seeing how her daughter was crying.
Sumayyah wanted to talk, she wanted to let what was bothering her out and share it to her mother because she knew she would make her feel alright but she couldn't.
The tears overpowered her to the extent she couldn't talk but rather hugged her mother very tight.
Hajiya mansura let her daughter cried to her satisfaction on her shoulders before quitely taking her to the bathroom and washed her face.
After they came back and sat at the edge of the bed, sumayyah looked at her mother and narrated everything to her.
"Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihir rajiun"was all hajiya mansura kept repeating.
"Come here khairat"
She then hugged her daughter and started consoling her, she didn't even know what to say or do but shocked and disappointment were understatements.
She wasn't shocked about umar's part of the story because she knew about the marriage stuff his father was planning for him.
But why would Aisha do that?ohh she've forgotten who her mother was.
Farida had always been getting on her nerves and she allowed it but not this time around, not when it comes to her daughter because she knew farida must have known what Aisha was doing. Exactly... That it is, the sudden change of farida defined it all.
