'Chae what are you do- oh my God.' Chanyeol cuts himself off as the fight between Yoongi and Seongmin plays in my head. 'Jisung and Jisoo are in their wolf forms, shut that shit down right now before it reaches them!'

I try, but it seems to be too late, we hear a howl of pain somewhere and through the pack link I can see Jisoo heading straight back for the compound, and for our pack doctor. My instincts have already taken over because of the shock, so I immediately turn and head back after her, knowing her intent is to hurt my mate. I hear Chanyeol yell a few curses and I can only assume he's running after us.

I catch Jisoo right outside the doctor's office, lunging, jumping over a few other pack members in the process. I tackle my younger cousin, pinning her down and baring my teeth at her. She struggles and snaps her teeth at me, but I snap back, closer to her throat, snarling in her face. She whimpers in submission, going lax under me, so I get off of her. She stays on the ground, showing me she isn't a threat anymore. Yoongi, my uncle, and our doctor are standing outside his office to see what all the commotion is about. At the sight of Yoongi, Jisoo growls again but I growl right back and she whines again, lowering her head back down.

I see the bandage on Yoongi's arm and my wolf whines before I can stop it. Yoongi chuckles and comes over, holding his hand out to me. I lower my head and he runs a hand through my fur "I'm fine Chaeyeon."

Chanyeol finally comes to a stop behind us, Jisung right behind him and Jisung shifts back to his human form "Is he really dead?" His voice breaks slightly on the last word.

Uncle Jihoon nods "I'm sorry pup, but he went after the alpha, Yoongi was just protecting her."

Jisung goes over to our uncle who opens his arms and embraces the young wolf who starts to cry. I shift back to my human form as Jisoo does the same and I pick her up off the ground and hug her to me as she starts to cry too "I'm sorry Jisoo."

Yoongi looks apologetic when I look over to him. "It's okay." I mouth to him.

Uncle Jihoon and I get the pups to calm down long enough that Chanyeol could get their mom and she could get them back to their cabin. I sigh, sinking to the ground "This is not happening."

Out of the corner of my eye I see Yoongi step towards me, but Chanyeol shakes his head and crouches down in front of me. "We need to take this to the office, before word gets out and the pack comes looking for him." He motions towards Yoongi "Come on."

Chanyeol helps me off the ground and leads me back to the house and into my office, Yoongi and my uncle trailing behind us. He sits me in the chair behind the desk, Uncle Jihoon and Yoongi sitting in the chairs across from me.

"I'm sorry." Yoongi starts

I shake my head "Don't apologize, you were protecting me. My pack would be getting yet another alpha if you weren't there. Him dying was also the likely outcome anyway. I was just hoping to have Jisung and Jisoo's understanding before it happened."

"And having told the pack what was going on, they will be angry that it was done by an outsider, but they'll understand and then be greatful that you protected their alpha. I am. I should have been there in the first place in this situation." Chanyeol adds

"And I gave you orders to be elsewhere Yeol. This isn't your fault, plus I'm not the one that is hurt." I glance at Yoongi.

"I'm fine Chaeyeon. I was already healing, I will be 100% fine in a few hours." Yoongi argues.

I growl and glare at the man "This is my land and it was my uncle that hurt you in an attempt to attack ME." My alpha voice slips out a bit, making Yoongi tense.
