"Dad!" Olivia shouted as she ran down the stone steps at seeing her parents get out of the backseats of his Ferrari, practically throwing herself at him which caused Elvis to wheeze from the impact as he fell backwards into the car

"Olivia!" Julia gasped

Elvis laughed as he embraced his daughter from where he was laying on the backseat, glad to know he was missed while being away on his honeymoon. "Give her a break, honey. We've been gone for two weeks. Though I think she's been training to be a football player."

"Did you bring me back anything from your trip!?" Olivia had climbed off of the man and bounced excitedly

"Yes, ya little squirrelly girl." He teasingly ruffled her hair as he got up out of the car once more

He was trying to get used to being a full time dad again now that Olivia was back in his care and he couldn't do as much as he pleased anymore. Elvis took his daughter for a night out to make up for being away on his blissful honeymoon with Julia. The windows of his Lincoln rolled down to let the warm night breeze in, Olivia watching the bright neon lights of stores and clubs pass by. She rarely went into town at night but when she did, she couldn't be happier to know that she lived in an extraordinary place in the world like Memphis. The young girl tore away from her gawking at the sound of her father singing, in a rather good mood on this particular night

"Well my baby and me went out late Saturday night. I had my hair piled high and my baby just looked so right. Well pick you up at ten gotta have you home at two." He was focused on the narrow street ahead of him, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel for a rhythmic beat

"Mama don't know what I catched off of you but that's alright cause we're looking as cool as can be. Well, we found a little place that really don't look that bad. I had a whiskey on the rocks and change of a dollar for the jukebox. Well, I put the cold rock into that can but all they played was disco, man. Come on, baby, baby let's get out of here right away." He flashed a smile at the eight year old who was just as happy and bouncing in her seat

She could never understand how to get her body into a good dancing rhythm like her dad so she usually left the jiggling and wiggling up to him. "We're gonna rock this town, rock it inside out." He hummed, shimmying his shoulders a tad. It was bringing him back memories of his younger days

"It's good to have you back, dad." Olivia couldn't wipe the smile away she had on her face

"It's good to be back, baby." Elvis sighed in content as they cruised down the empty streets of Memphis

July 8, 1971

The Presley residence was unusually quiet and not bustling with activity though his group of friends were downstairs in the basement playing a friendly game of cards. Elvis was outside riding his Tennessee Walking Horse, Bear, and Olivia was on Rising Sun. Julia had a fear of horses so she didn't join them and stayed in the house to talk to Dodger. While everyone was off doing their own thing, someone slunk off into the kitchen and approached the white countertop where a Pepsi and a glass of iced tea were waiting for the Presley couple. They slipped something into the beverages before exiting into the dining room at hearing the back door of the den close

"I think you should ride Bear next time." Elvis glanced back at Olivia as they walked through the den to the kitchen, picking up the glass of iced tea and Pepsi bottle

"And get me killed when he does that fancy gait? No thanks." She shook her head, opening the refrigerator to see if there was any Dr Pepper

He laughed at the comment before going to Dodger's room to give the iced tea to his wife who was in the middle of a conversation with his grandmother
