The stinger flew at Spider-Man, who somersaulted over it. He fired a web at the ground near Scorpions and pulled himself at him, punching the larger arachnid across his face. Clint fired an electric arrow at Scorpion but all it did was irritate him. He would have retaliated but Spider-Man was forcing all of his focus on him. The Masked Black Widow ran at Clint but he knocked her away with a whack from his bow.

Spider-Man scurried around Scorpion's armour as the large villain tried to grab him with little success. The vigilante laughed at his enemy's misfortune, "Honestly, Greenie. How could you expect that this fight would go any differently just because you made some cosmetic changes to your suit?"

"Shut up!" Gargin yelled. He didn't think taking his revenge would be so difficult or annoying. He tried stabbing Spidey but he just used the tail to lift himself, and Scorpion only damaged his own armor. Spidey landed on his shoulders and declared, "Awww, is the green meanie feeling grumpy? How about a nap? Here's your eye mask!"

Spider-man sprayed webs at Scorpion's visor, blinding him. With his enemies distracted, Spidey jumped off his shoulders and knocked him away with a kick to the chest. Scorpion stumbled back a bit before being hit with a blunt arrow at his exposed jaw.

Kate reached for another arrow but was kicked aside by the Black Widow. The assassin then turned around and threw a punch at Clint. The Avenger swerved to the side and aimed a punch at her ribs but she blocked his and threw him aside. Clint angled his fall and managed to roll onto his feet.

The assassin ran at him with complete conviction. Like there was no other purpose in life. It made Clint wonder if she was still undermind control. Nat has mentioned that even though the Red Room was gone, there could still be active Black Widows out there, waiting for their next order.

Clint stood up and charged at the Widow. The two began to change blows, struggling to gain the upper hand over the other. The assassin was definitely faster and more agile than him, but Clint knew how Black Widows fought.

He saw the high kick coming three moves before it happened and he countered appropriately, grabbing the leg and pulling. The sudden pull combined with the assassin's vulnerable stance and the frost on the roof knock her to the ground.

"Webs!" Clint yelled at Spidey, the word holding a double meaning.

Spider-Man was still dancing with a now unblinded Scorpion. He was weaving between the tails strikes, trying to keep the villain's attention on him and away from Kate, who was firing whatever regular arrow that she could spare. She had plenty of those both in her apartment, if they survived, and her Mom's penthouse. She didn't want to use up Clint's valuable trick arrows, even if the regulars couldn't pierce the armour.

Spidey heard Clint's call and sacrificed a moment to look at him. It took him barely a moment to understand what Clint wanted from him. Two extra moments were sacrificed to fire webs to immobilize the assassin. Removing the weakest arachnid from the fight would allow all of them to focus their efforts on Scorpion.

Turns out that he sacrificed too many moments, and Scorpion's tail connected with him before he could react. He was launched like a baseball and soured over the roof's edge. Spidey was pretty sure he heard someone scream his name but he wasn't sure. He crashed into a series of Christmas lights strung between the buildings and ended up getting tangled in them and dragging them down with him to the icy pavement.

Pedestrians screamed in terror when he crashed in front of them. Spider-Man simply groaned in pain and tried to untangle himself. He had to get back up there. Every second he wasted was another second where someone could get hurt.

A series of gunshots sounded from the roof. People screamed. Spider-Man charged. He fired two webs and slingshotted himself back up. No one was dying on his watch. Not again.
