'Why is this my life?' Clint asked himself. He had snuck out of the hotel just to track down and deal with whoever it was that was impersonating Ronin. As it turns out, that someone was a kid who seems to also be one of his very few fans. As if that was that wasn't enough, Spider-man was also involved with all of this, somehow.

After some quick introductions, they agreed to head to Kate's apartment. Spider-man claimed that he already knew the address and swung ahead. Late informed him that Spidey was probably the friend that dick she met had gone to get to help her. Clint wasn't gonna question that. He was just here for the suit.

The walk other had been incredibly annoying. Kate was constantly either asking him highly confidential questions or trying to impress him. She had claimed to have seen a dead body, some guy named Armand, but she appeared to have gotten over it very quickly.

When Kate opened the door to her home, the two were slightly shocked to see that Spider-man had used his free time to play with a golden retriever. He was currently rubbing the dog's cheeks while repeatedly asking in a baby voice, "Who's a good boy? Who's a good boy?"

Clint was less than impressed and muttered to Kate, "Some guard dog you got there."

"That's not my dog," Kate replied, "and I'm pretty sure it's not his either."

Spidey let go of the dog which immediately went to licking the last crumbs from the pizza box on the floor. He scratched the back of his head awkwardly and explained, "I had to do something while I waited for you two to show up."

Clint didn't bother looking at the young hero as he said, "You didn't have to wait. I'm just gonna take the suit and then I'm on my way." He turned towards Kate and complimented her, "Nice place by the way. How did a kid like you afford it?"

"I would also like to know," Spidey said. He was living in his new place for not even a don't and he was already sick of it.

"I inherited it," Kate answered awkwardly.

"What are you, eighteen?"

"I'm twenty-two."

"Yeah, same thing." Clint sighed as he leaned against a chair. "So, wanna get that suit off so I can get going?"

Kate nodded and responded, "Yeah. Yeah. I'll be right there."

She tripped on her feet as she walked up the stairs, excitedly whispering rather loudly, "The Hawkeye AND Spider-man are in place!"

'She seems nice.' Spider-man thought to himself, 'I was definitely too harsh on her earlier.'

"Where did you get the suit?" Clint questioned, trying to find something to do while they waited. He tried to avoid making eye contact with Spidey, still not fully understanding why New York's most famous vigilante was still here.

"Black market auction," Kate responded from above, way too casually.

"And you bought it?"

"Stole it." Spidey cut it.

Clint gave him a questioning look so he continued, "My friend was there, he told me when he asked me to help her out."

"Who was that guy anyway?" Kate asked.

"No one important. Just someone who goes places Spider-man can't."

"Did this friend of yours say what she did in the suit?" Clint asked, raising one eyebrow at Spidey.

Kate answered before he could, "I beat some guys up. Saved a dog. Some light B and E."

Clint sighed, not liking the sound of that one bit. "A twenty-two-year-old vigilante. Shouldn't you be at school?"
