Spider-Man grunted as he avoided two punches from Scorpion. He responded by firing a web at the ceiling, pulling himself up before letting go and landing a strike on top of Scorpion's head during his descent. The villain growled in pain, as he spun in a quick circle, the tip of his tail slicing through the walls around them. Spidey avoided the strike by lying flat on the ground, before instantly performing a backflip, kicking Scorpion's chin.
That area appeared to be the most lightly armoured outside of the exposed mouth, so the face would have to take priority.
Clint's voice crackled through the comm, "Webs! Status report. What's going on?"
"Kazi's the sniper," Peter grunted as he sidestepped the stinger, "But Scorpion was with him. He escaped and I'm too busy with Gargan to give chase. I have no idea where he is."
"Understood. Focus on Scorpion, he's the biggest threat here. We'll focus on getting these people out here."
"Aye aye, Hawkeye." Spidey signed off. "Oh God."
Scorpion roared as he attempted to tackle Spidey. The vigilante jumped over his foe before landing on his back and using it as a springboard, launching both of them away from each other. Spider-Man stuck to the ceiling while Scorpion crashed into the wall separating them from the outside. Cracks spread across it like a web and the window frame came loose.
Peter laughed, "Come on, Tyrian. I thought scorpions were supposed to be a spider's natural predator. You're embarrassing yourself and your entire family name."
Scorpion turned around to face Spider-Man, his growls sounding more animal-like with each passing second. "We'll see who's family will be embarrassed," he roared, "When I rip that mask off your face and drown your heart with my poison. I'll make sure to give you such a strong dosage that they'll have to drain your entire bloodstream before burying you!"
Spidey remained calm, even humming and rubbing his chin in thought. "I think they might have to do that anyway. Either that or bury me in a lead coffin."
Scorpion didn't care. He just sent his stinger at Spidey yet again. The vigilante dodged, before leaping at Scorpion once again.

Back at the party, it was chaos. The attendees were screaming in fear, pushing each other out of the way as the LARPers tried to get them out safely. Unfortunately for them, the terrified rich folks weren't exactly keen on following instructions.
"What the hell was that?" Kate demanded through the comm. She had no doubt heard the bullets and shattering glass.
"Shots fired." Clint grunted, "Spidey went to deal with the shooter but Scorpion intercepted him. As of right now, we have no idea where the sniper could be. We're currently working on getting these people out of here."
Kate nodded, ending the discussion before turning to her mom and Jack.
"Mom, Jack, stay here," she answered as she began to head out of the room.
Elanor tried to stop her.
"Kate, do not go out there. It's too dangerous." she demanded, acting like she still held any authority over Kate.
Kate turned briefly to look at her mom, not bothering to hide the anger in her eyes. "You're the reason that it's dangerous out there, Mom. Just stay put and stay out of this." Kate calmly said with frustration seeping in.
She turned around again and marched out of the room. She didn't bother to waste another second on her mother.
Elanor let out a tired sigh and turned around as well, marching in the opposite direction that Kate had, leaving Jack all alone.
