Okay, so to recap, Clint is stuck up in a tree, Spidey's fighting a guy in a mechanized scorpion suit at the opposite end of an ice rink and an army of gangsters dressed in tracksuits was currently attacking her and hunting her mom, who was still missing.

Needless to say, Kate had her hands full.

Kate rushed to Grills and the other LARPers who were just exiting the building. They were still working on safely guiding people to safety but it didn't look like they were having much luck in getting people to listen to them.

Kate decided not to mention that part.

"Guys!" Kate yelled as she reached them, "Any eyes on my Mom yet?"

Grills shook his head, confirming her fears. "Not yet," he said.

Kate swore internally, a trait she was forced to adopt because of all the balls and galas her mom had dragged her to. A hundred different scenarios involving her mom getting kidnapped and or killed raced through her mind, but Kate forced herself to ignore them in favour of focusing on the situation at hand.

"Okay. Look, I need to get Clint out of the tree so that one of us can help Spidey. Clear the civilians for me." Kate ordered.

"What about that guy?" Wendy asked, pointing behind Kate. Kate looked to where she was pointing.

"He doesn't seem to..."

"Take that!" Jack yelled with a laugh as he continued to harass the Tracksuits. Something told Kate that once this night was over, local ERs and hospitals would be filled with more sword wounds than arrow ones.

"He's on our side but we should probably get him out of here too," she decided. She hoped that none of the Tracksuits would bleed out before the medics arrived.

Scorpion roared as he clawed at the elusive spider. While the vigilante was in the air, he tried to stab his stinger through him, but Spidey just placed his hand on the tip and somehow managed to pull himself onto it.

Gargan swore as webbing hit his eyes but he was cut off by a kick to the face.

"Careful, Stingy. We can't be using naughty words like that while Santa is in town," Spider-Man said with a laugh.

Still blinded by the webs, Gargan tried to defend himself, "But you've also been swearing you-"

He was cut off yet again when a line of webbing hit his chest, and he was pulled towards the red and blue fighter. The punch that followed sent him tumbling down the street.

Scorpion groaned with pain as he picked himself up and ripped the webbing off his face.

"Why you little-"

He didn't get to finish the insult. Spider-Man slingshotted himself at the villain. He was knocked back and the vigilante pulled himself on top of him. He began crawling over his armour, wrapping it in webbing wherever he went.

"Hush now, little Maccy," Spidey coddled with a barely suppressed laugh, "Let Daddy Spidey wrap you up in your blanket, and then you can finally take your nap."

Gargan roared furiously as he tried to rip his arms free as the webs pinned them to his body. He tried cutting himself free with his stinger but his tail was also pinned to his body by the webs. The webs also connected him to the concrete road, firmly keeping him in place. He could feel the webs straining to hold him as he struggled to break free.

Spidey let out a tired laugh as he clapped his hands together.

"Well, that was fun," he said. "But seriously dude, this is what, the third time we fought? Fourth if we count the ferry. And I won every single time."
