"Psst! Y/N, wake up."

Staring at the ceiling aimlessly had resulted in me taking an unplanned nap. When I was gently shaken awake by a small pair of hands, I was reminded of the many things I needed to be worrying about instead of catching up on sleep.

"Awake! I'm awake..." I mumble, my eyes still mostly shut.

Cracking them open just the slightest and light pierced me with a headache. With a groan, I rubbed my eyes and sat up as Eri said something I failed to hear.

"What was that Eri?" I asked, opening my eyes fully.

"I know where he's going!" whispered the young girl excitedly.

For a second, my mind was blank. Then, my eyes were wide and a surge of hope filled me. "You do? Did he say something?"

"Yes! But let's go to my room. The nurses don't let me talk to you, remember?"

I nodded quickly and allowed her to lead me by the sleeve towards her boxy room. Once safely inside with the door shut behind us, we sat cross legged on the rug and she recalled to me what had happened.

In summary, Mimic had taken her to a side room when Overhaul was discussing plans with the Eight Bullets. When Mimic left the room momentarily, she was able to press her ear up against the door and listen in to the best of her ability. In the process, Eri had successfully overheard Overhaul choose specific members of the Eight Bullets to accompany him to his meeting.

"I couldn't hear it that well but he was telling the Bullets about a group of people he was going to try to 'bargain' with. I didn't quite understand him... But I know where he's going! He asked Chronostasis to get him a car ready for Tuesday. He told the rest of the group that they needed to hide and protect him in the meeting because it would be in an abandoned place. I don't know the meanings of a lot of the big words he said, sorry Y/N," she relayed to me.

"Eri. You did incredible! This is all the information I need. I knew you could do it," I told her with a grin.

She beamed back at me, her ruby eyes crinkling with joy. "So, can we still do it? Can we still leave?"

"We definitely have a chance," I tell her surely. "The nurse said she would send me back once I woke up so I'll need to head back to my room soon. Do you want to play a game in the meantime?"

...

Tuesday had arrived sooner than I thought. My previous injuries were still healing but being out of action meant that I could preserve my energy and utilise my quirk to the max.

Upon my return after the fight, I was greeted with a colourful array of insults and I'd somehow managed to worsen my reputation. I didn't think it was possible but I had been surprising myself more and more in the past few weeks. Amazing how one person can change your life so much, isn't it?

I was considering this day off as a mission more than anything else. Underneath my jacket, I was dressed in my black suit and fully decked out with the necessary weapons all skillfully concealed among the dark material.

Unfortunately, Eri was unable to find out when Overhaul would be leaving so the first step of my plan was to leave the house and camp out in a location that gave me a good view of the garage. I would have to resort to waiting and exercising my patience, something I admittedly struggled with.

Wasting no time after the clock struck midnight, I activated my quirk and left the floor of my division secretly to avoid attracting unnecessary attention to myself. Once I reached the front door of the house and passed through the security who signed me out, I made a point of putting some distance between me and the large building before slipping into the dark and sliding up the shadow of a broken street light.
