Riley's pov

The song ends and I help girls get off the bar, cheering at them. The guests scream, and some whistle, but the crowd is absolutely amazing tonight. It's almost four in the morning, but that doesn't stop anyone from having as much fun as they can.

I'm exhausted from the almost ten hours long shift, but soon I'll get home with Jade. It's worth the pain because it's the weekend, the tips are gonna be crazy tonight. We decided that it's best if we come home together after nights like tonight. It'll be faster, safer, and better in general. She makes everything better.

I see her walk into the VIP section, probably for the last time tonight.

''I'm gonna get going!'' I let the rest of the girls know and go to get Jade.

I'm so tired I don't even pay attention to any of the people here. My mind keeps going to Seph and everything that happened. Somehow I'm not feeling better with the fact that 'I told her so'. I wish my darkest thoughts and worries wouldn't come true. I can't thank Harry enough. I gotta admit, I wasn't so sure about him, but he made it all go away. He saved her after all, not only from probably being beaten to death, but he also gave her the possibility to see things differently. At least, that's what I'd want from whatever they have. The moment I heard that he talked to Seph's mother everything I ever imagined about him changed.

After all the talking I did understand that as much as I want to cut Jack in half (which Harry very much agreed with), I can't. Some things aren't for us to decide and Harry helped me understand that.

For most of the talk, Jade was quiet. That night I heard her cry so quietly I almost thought I made that up. It shattered my heart, but she needed a moment for herself and I respected that. We never really talked about it, but I don't find the need to. It broke us all in some ways. I hate to admit that, but such a devastating event immediately brought us all together and I feel closer to girls, even to Harry.

I look for Jade, walking past sweaty bodies, but I can't notice her anywhere.

She probably went back to the locker room.

I don't think much of it and head straight back to the room. Halfway there I hear a man's voice and my heart sinks, right to my fucking ass.

I stop in my tracks for a moment, just to start running as fast as I can. I breathe so loudly and fast that I feel like my lungs are about to give up.

I run into the small room to see no one other, but Jack next to my girlfriend. He pins her to the wall of lockers as she's trying to breathe. Her feet can't reach the floor and he's about to take her breath away. I see her hands scratching his hands as much as she can, but there's no way of getting out of his tight grip.

''Where is she?!'' He yells at her and I already know why he came here.

Not thinking much, I break the glass to get to the firehose and I take the end of it, to hit him straight in the head with the metal element. I throw the metal piece at him and soon after it falls to the ground, as well as my girlfriend and him. Right next to the glass where the firehose was, I see the alarm button that I press without even thinking about it. The button activates a loud siren that rings in my ear the second I hear it.

''Jade, the gun!'' I scream at her trying to be louder than the alarm. She's terrified.

Jack lies right next to me, placing his hands on the back of his head. ''Fucking hell! You fucking bitch!'' He tries to move and tries to get up.

My eyes jump between him and her, wishing that she'll be the first to make a move instead of him. It all happens so fast it almost happens in slow motion.

I see her opening the locker and throwing me the gun. ''Riley!'' She screams at the same time. I look at Jack's body on the floor. I catch the little pistol in my hands and flick it off, pointing it right at him. He kneels in front of me at the same time, just like I imagine him on his knees in front of my best friend, begging for her forgiveness so many times in the past. He's so pathetic I'm about to vomit.

''Don't even think about moving even one of your disgusting fucking fingers.'' I hiss through my teeth. I have so much energy in me right now I don't even feel tired anymore. Every bit of hate I ever had in me is awake right now.

He laughs at me. He probably thinks I'm bluffing. He never took it seriously. He was ever only just fucked in the head.

''I don't want anything from you, I'm looking for my girl.'' He says with his eyes half shut. Is he high? I can't believe in this guy. ''She's mine.''

I hold the gun in my hands so hard that my fingers start to hurt. I'm too afraid he'll take my only weapon from me. ''She's not your girl anymore. You should be happy you're walking freely. You're fucking sick.'' I take a step towards him and press the barrel to his forehead. He tilts his head. This is when he starts taking it all seriously. ''The audacity that you have.'' I say with disgust on my face. ''What makes you think she'll be able to even walk in here by herself? How could you do this to someone you claim to love?''

''Come on Riley.'' He raises his hands in the air. ''I didn't even touch her. I didn't do anything. She deserved it, she deserves all of it. I did all of it because I love her.'' He speaks louder and louder the longer he speaks. ''Now tell me, where is she now that she can't walk? Because weirdly enough she's not home.'' The wave of relief washes over me.

''You're sick.'' I shake my head, checking on Jade. I notice her pressed against the lockers, terrified. ''One day I'll make sure you're going through the worst of your nightmares.''

He doesn't get the chance to speak, and that sentence is the last one I say to him because security steps into the room and take the gun out of my hand.

There're words spoken, handcuffs being cuffed on his wrists, as well as mine. I don't take my eyes off him. I look as he's dragged out of the room with a smile on his face.

Jade falls to her knees in front of me and hugs me tight.

I whisper the last words into Jade's ear before I'm dragged out of the room as well.

''Call her, right now. Call Harry.''
