Chapter 11

4 MONTHS LATER

"I can't believe my little sister is moving country." Paddy says as Lilianna finishes packing her suitcase. Isla's was already done and the mother and daughter had bought a small apartment in Monaco. "I know. It's unreal. I'm working for McLaren and moving to Monaco." Lilianna smiles. "Living the true formula 1 dream, aren't you now?" Paddy laughs while Lilianna shuts her suitcase.

"Come on, I'll take you to the airport." Paddy says. "Okay. I'll go get Isla." Lilianna says. Yes, she was nervous about moving to Monaco but it was a dream come true for her. "Isla, come on. Grab freddie, we have to go." Lilianna says. Rocko was in his dog cage and fairly relaxed. "Right, have you girls got everything?" Paddy asks. "Yeah." Lilianna nods before they leave the house.

As Paddy puts the suitcases into the car, Lilianna straps Isla into her booster seat before getting into the front passenger seat. "Ready?" Paddy asks as Lilianna and Isla nod. Heading to Newcastle international airport, it was a silent journey. Deep down, Lilianna was nervous about moving to another country but it was just like when she moved from Northern-Ireland to England, right? But, something inside her told her it wasn't going to be as easy as that. She was moving to a country further away.

NEWCASTLE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

"Okay. You want me to walk in with you?" Paddy asks as they stand outside the main doors. "Yeah. We want to spend the last few minutes of our time in England with you." Lilianna says, Isla sat on her hip. Paddy smiles as they three walks into the airport. Getting through customs was easy but as soon as they reached the gates, the plane was beginning to board. "Well, I guess this is it." Lilianna breathes, tears filling her eyes. "Come here." Paddy says, opening his arms. His younger sister and his niece both give him a hug. "I'll miss you both so much." Paddy says, planting soft kisses on their heads. "We'll miss you too. Thank you for everything you've done for us." Lilianna whispers as the tears silently fall down her face.

"Hey, don't cry Lil. Smile because this is the start of something new for you and Isla. Smile because of the memories we've made so far as not only a duo but as a three. I love both of you." Paddy says. Isla tries to escape her mums arms and reaches out for Paddy. The football star takes his niece into his arms and she immediate wraps her arms around his neck. "I'll miss you, uncle paddy." Isla says as she quietly begins to cry. "I'll miss you too, bug. Be good for mummy, promise?" Paddy says, wiping his nieces tears as she nods.

He puts the little girl down before tightly hugging his sister. "You're going to do amazing things. Remember, you have your friends there. You'll be absolutely fine." Paddy reassures his sister. She wipes her tears before pecking her brothers cheek. "I'll call you when we arrive. I've already arranged for someone to pick us up." Lilianna says.

"Last call for flight 696 to London Heathrow is boaring now." a voice over the intercom says. "You should get going. You and Isla don't want to miss your flight." Paddy says as Lilianna nods, letting go of the hug. The two wave bye to Paddy before showing the flight assistant their tickets. Boarding the plane was the worst part because everything in Lilianna was telling her to turn back and not go, to stay home.

Sitting in her seat, Lilianna buckles Isla into her seat and adjusts it before doing her own. "Ready baby?" Lilianna asks. "Yeah. I'm going to miss uncle paddy though." Isla frowns. "Me too. We'll call him when we land in Monaco, okay?" Lilianna smiles as Isla nods.

MONTE CARLO, MONACO

Arriving in Monte Carlo after two long flights, Lilianna looked at Isla who was asleep. The little girl's seatbelt was unclipped after Lilianna undid hers and she picked her daughter up and carried her through the airport terminal to luggage claim. She had asked George Russell to pick her and Isla up, the mercedes driver being aware that Lilianna had a daughter as the young mum couldn't find the heart to te Max yet despite them becoming closer as friends.

"Hey Lils." George smiles as he hugs the girl. "Hi George. Thanks for picking us up." Lilianna smiles. "Of course. Anytime." George nods as they wait for Lilianna and Isla's suitcases and Rocko's dog cage. Once they had collected Lilianna's belongings. "So, how are you feeling about moving to Monaco?" George asks as he and Lily walk to his car. "Nervous, for sure. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't. But, I have you and the others here so I'm sure me and Isla will settle in fairly quickly." Lilianna smiles as she lifts Isla up, her daughter laying her head on her mum's shoulder.

"Good. You'll both be settled in no time." George says, reassuring Lilianna. "Yeah." Lilianna nods. Getting into George's car, he puts the suitcases into the boot and rocko's dogcage into the back seat with Isla who's been strapped in by Lilianna. The girl gets into the front seat beside George. "You have a nice car." Lilianna says. "Thanks Lily." George smiles. After asking where her apartment is, George heads to the girls new home. "And here we are. Welcome to Monaco." George jokes as Lilianna chuckles. "Thank you. I better let my brother know me and Isla have arrived safely." Lilianna says.

"Would you like some help carrying your stuff upstairs?" George asks. Lilianna smiles and nods as she heads to the back seats and picks Isla up. "Are you sure you've got everything?" Lilianna asks, watching George struggle behind her. "Yeah. You go and put Isla to bed." George says as Lilianna nods.

Once all her's and Isla's stuff was inside, Lilianna and George collapse onto the couch. The two had slowly become best friends thanks to Lando and Pierre. "Thank you for your help. It means so much." Lilianna smiles, looking at George. "Of course." he turns to her. The pair look at each other in their eyes before leaning in until the point where their lips connect.

Lilianna and George move perfectly in-sync. Lily places both hands on George's cheeks as he pulls her closer by his waist and lifts her onto his lap. The pair seperate and rest their foreheads on each other. "You don't understand how long I've wanted to do that since I met you." George whispers as Lilianna smiles.

Deep down, Lilianna had feelings for someone else. For Max. But, here she was kissing George Russell. George leans back in and places his lips on Lilianna's, the girl smiling into the kiss before hers and George's lips move together again. Lily knew this wrong, especially when she had feels for someone else, but she couldn't stop herself. The way George's lips move with hers felt so right yet so wrong at the same time. "I...I should really be going." George says between kisses. "O...okay." Lilianna says, catching her breath.

She stands up from George's lap as adjusts her shirt which the Mercedes driver was tugging at. The boy fixes his hair before standing up and walking to the door. "Before I go, would you like to go on a date with me?" George asks, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sure." Lilianna smiles. The King's Lynn boy smiles before pecking the Ballyclare girl's lips. "Alright, I'll pick you up in say 3 days?" George suggests as Lilianna softly smiles and nods. "Yeah. See you then." Lilianna waves as does George before she shuts the door.

Leaning against the door, Lilianna smiled while half of her was mentally kicking her for doing such a dumb move when her heart and feelings where with someone else. Before she goes to bed, Lilianna checks on Isla who was still fast asleep. The girl texts her brother to let him know that they arrived safely and were settling into their new home.

A/N: Late update today as i've been busy celebrating my birthday. But, now it's the end of the day, here's chapter 11 on July 11th, my favorite day 🧡

In other news, DANNY IS BACK! I'm so happy for him and that he's back but so gutted for Nyck. He should have atleast been given a full season to prove himself before a decision was made.
