Chapter 37

Lilianna dropped Isla off at a birthday party of one of her friends who decided to hold it in Monaco due to the family being on holiday. "Are you excited baby?" Lilianna asks as she drives to the location with Isla in the back seat. "Yeah!" Isla exclaims. Lilianna chuckles at her daughter's excitement. Isla had been excited to see her friends from home again so this party meant a lot to her.

Pulling up outside the venue, Isla clenched the gift in her hand. Lily gave Isla a reassuring smile as she helped her daughter out the car and walked her to the door. "Have a great time, sweetheart." she gave Isla a kiss on the forehead before watching her disappear into the party.

Lilianna laughs before driving to the café where she is meeting Max, Lando, Charles and Carlos. The pregnant girl arrives at the café which isn't too far from where the party that Isla is attending is being held. "Hey guys." Lilianna smiles, walking in after parking. "Finally. We were stuck third wheeling these two." Lando says, hugging Lilianna. Charles and Carlos hug the girl aswell before she quickly kisses Max and sits down.

"Where's my little bestie?" Charles asks, referring to Isla. "She's at a party of a friend from Northern-Ireland." Lilianna smiles. "Awe, shame. I wanted to see her." Charles frowns. "You'll see her in Jeddah. Stop panicking." Lilianna chuckles. "Why can't I see her today?" Charles asks. "Because she's at a party. How many times will I have to tell you?" Lilianna smiles. "This is Charles. He'll ask until he gets what he wants." Max jokes as he, Lilianna, Lando and Carlos all laugh.

"Uncalled for man." Charles says as the others stop laughing. The small group order a drink and some food as well as chatting about the next race of the season. "Well, we have a baby appointment so we better get going." Max smiles, taking Lilianna's hand into his. "We'll pay for your share." Carlos says. "I've already paid for us. You guys still have time for another." Lilianna smiles. "Okay then. See you later guys." Lando smiles, hugging Lilianna and Max with Charles and Carlos following suit.

Max and Lilianna leave the Monaco café hand in hand and walk towards her car. Lily gets into the passenger seat as Max gets into the drivers and the couple head towards the hospital. "How are you feeling about this?" Max asks, placing his hand on Lilianna's. "Nervous for sure but excited to see baby." Lilianna smiles, squeezing Max's hand. "It's a shame Isla couldn't come." Max says. "I know but she was looking forward to the party all week since she got the invite in the mail." Lilianna smiles.

The pair drive to the hospital and walk into the waiting room. Sitting down, Max takes ahold of Lilianna's hand. His thumb gently rubs the back of her hand. "It's still unreal that we're having a little baby." Max smiles. "It is but I can't wait for it to be me, you, Isla and our little baby." Lilianna smiles, looking at Max. "It's a chapter we both and Isla are excited for." Max smiles, pulling Lilianna close to him and kissing her forehead. The girl smiles as she leans up and their lips meet. "I love you, Max Verstappen." Lilianna smiles, seperating from the kiss. "I love you too, Lilianna McNair." Max smiles as Lilianna's phone buzzes.
