THE NEXT DAY
The following morning after Nathan's birth, Max and Isla headed to the nearby restaurant to grab breakfast for both of them and Lilianna while she fed Nathan. Whilst Max and Isla were out the room, Jos returned. "Hello." he fakely smiled, walking in. "Can I help?" Lilianna asks, looking away from her son to Jos. "I know why you're dating Max. You're after his money and now you've child-locked him to keep getting it from him." Jos says, standing at the end of Lilianna's bed.
"I can assure you fine well that if I needed money, I have a steady job for that. I have not child-locked, Max in any way, shape or form. He can still race and I'll be there with our daughter and son to support him." Lilianna reassures Jos. "It's not as simple as that. I can't let Max have any distractions. That includes a child, or two as you put it and a girlfriend who works alongside him." Jos smirks. "I don't work along side Max. Yes, we're in the same field of work but we do completely different things. He's a driver for RedBull and I'm a media creator for McLaren. Two different people working two different professions in the same field for two different teams. Get used to it, Jos." Lilianna shrugs.
"What do you want from Max really? Except his money and to have children with him." Jos asks. "Love. The feeling of true love and he gives me that. I don't need his money and he's taken my daughter in like she's his own and I know he loves her just as much as he loves his boy." Lilianna sternly says. "He will raise his boy the same way I raised him. His son will continue the Verstappen legacy in the world of racing." Jos starts before Lilianna interrupts him. "Let me stop you right there, Jos. My son will not be raised the way you raised Max. And I know Max won't raise him the way you did. And our son will choose whatever career he wants. We're not forcing anything on him, just like we're not forcing Isla-Rose to choose a career in motorsport because she's 6 and still has a while to go. My children will not be raised the way you taught. That's a certain. Now, I suggest you leave before I get security and I don't mess around, Jos because I'm not scared of you." Lilianna keeps eye contact.
"This isn't the end, Lilianna. I am going to be around for my grandson and teach him discipline and show him a true career." Jos points his finger at Nathan before leaving. Lilianna lays down on her bed after Nathan's feed and lays the little boy on her chest. "Don't worry, my sweet boy. He isn't going to teach you anything. You are going to be safe." Lilianna whispers to Nathan as she burped him and leaves him there to sleep.
Half an hour after Jos left, Max and Isla returned. "Hey you two. What took youse so long?" Lilianna smiles as her boyfriend and daughter wallk in. "We come with breakfast. How was Nathan?" Max asks as Isla climbs onto the bed. "Good as gold. He had all his milk and has been sleeping for the last 35 minutes I'd say." Lilianna smiles, gently kissing her son on his head. "Do you think we should tell the others about him? That's after you've ate." Max suggests as Lilianna nods.
Max notices a little uncomfortable glimpse in Lilianna's eye. "Are you okay?" Max asks. "You're dad came by. He started saying how I've child-trapped you and I'm after you for your money and that having Nathan and Isla will ruin your career. I stood my ground because I'm not going to ler him ruin us." Lilianna smiles. "That's not going to happen. Don't worry about him." Max smiles as he places Lilianna's food on the table next to her.
The dutchman takes his son off Lilianna's chest so she can eat her breakfast. "You're the perfect dad for them." Lilianna smiles. "You think so?" Max asks, turning his attention away from Nathan to Lily. "Yes. You and Isla in the pool this morning is a perfect example. And now you with Nathan. You were meant to be a dad, Max." Lilianna smiles, taking another bite of her food. Max sits on the edge of her bed with Nathan asleep in his arms.
