Lilianna put her phone down after messaging Pierre. She adores the friendship she has formed with him and the bond he has with Isla. Getting out of her bed, Lilianna quickly changes and applies some light make up before going into Isla's room.
"Isla, sweetie. Wake up. We're going out soon." Lilianna gently shakes her daughter's shoulder. "Where are we going, mummy?" Isla asks, rubbing her eyes. "We're going to the arcade. Pierre's coming to pick us up." Lilianna smiles. "Will Max, Lando, Carlos and Charles be there?" Isla asked, immediately sitting up. "I don't know. We'll find out when we get there." Lilianna smiled at her daughter's excitement.
Isla jumps out her bed and runs to her wardrobe to pick out some clothes. Lilianna helped her change before the pair go into the living room to put their shoes on. As soon as their shoes were on and Lilianna had her bag, the girl received a message from Pierre letting her know he was outside. "Come on, Isla. Pierre's here." the young mum says as she walks to the door and her daughter excitedly runs over.
Walking out the apartment, Lilianna locks her door and both she and Isla head downstairs where Pierre is waiting for them outside the main enterance. Opening the back door to the car, Lilianna helps Isla buckle herself in as the 5-year-old sat on her booster seat before getting into the front passenger seat. "Hey girls." Piette smiles. "Hey Pierre." Lilianna smiles, shutting the door and strapping herself in with her seat belt. "Are you ready?" Pierre asks. "Yes!" Isla giggles. "I think she's more excited than me, you or the others." Pierre laughs.
The three make their way to the arcade where they're meeting the others. "Who's going?" Lilianna asked. "Us. George, Max, Lando, Charles, Daniel and Carlos." Pierre smiles. "Okay." Lilianna smiles and she turns and looks at Isla who smiles at her excitedly. "Who are you most excited to see Isla?" Lilianna asks. "Max." Isla says, a little giggle at the end.
The 5-year-old adored Max the most and always got excited when she could see him. The arcade wasn't far from where Lilianna lived so it was a short drive. Pierre finds a space in the parking lot and parked his car. "Right, we're here." Pierre declares as Lilianna and Isla softly chuckle. The three all get out the car and head into the arcade.
As soon as Isla sees Max, she runs over to him. "I think someone is excited to see you, Max." Lilianna chuckles. "Yeah. She's not this excited to see the rest of us." Carlos jokes. "Clearly we know who the favorite is then." Lando says as the group walk into the arcade. The group all seperate, Lilianna going with Isla and Max. "Okay, where first Isla?" Lily asks her daughter. "The keyboard." Isla points and the three walk over.
As Isla plays on the arcade game, Max and Lilianna stand back and watch. "You're good with her, you know?" Lilianna turns to the RedBull driver. "I am?" Max looks at her. "Yeah. I've never seen her dote on someone as much as she does with you. She adores you, Max." Lilianna smiles. "I appreciate that. I just want you to know that now you live here in Monaco, you don't have to raise Isla alone still. You have all of us." Max smiles as does Lilianna.
The boy wraps an arm around her shoulder and she places one around his waist. As the Northern-Irish native watched her daughter, Max looked down at her, a loving look on his face. "You're staring." Lilianna chuckles, feeling Max's gaze on her. "Shoot, sorry." Max nervously chuckles as a soft laugh escapes Lilianna's lips. "It's okay. I'm used to people staring for good and bad reasons." Lilianna says as age looks up at Max. "How come?" Max asks. "I had and still have people judging me for being a teen mum." Lilianna says. "Well, ignore them. You've done a good job. Isla's a happy and healthy 5-year-old little girl." Max says as Lily nods.
THAT NIGHT
"And she's asleep for the night." Max breathes, sittimg beside Lilianna in the living room. "Thank you for that. Today's wore her out." Lilianna sleepily smiles, laying her head on Max's shoulder. "Think it's wore you out too." Max jokes as Lilianna playfully slaps him. "Watching Isla having fun has wore me out. Don't know why Lando gave her so much sugar. It was a nightmare trying to calm her down before we came home." Lilianna chuckles, laying her head on Max's chest when he wraps an arm around her.
"But we managed to." Max says, his fingertips unconsciously running up and down Lilianna's arm. "Yeah. Thank god." Lilianna chuckles. The two enjoy the peace in the living room, Rocko asleep in the corner of the room in his dog bed. As the silence continues, Lilianna falls asleep. Max doesn't realize until he hears a soft little snore fill the room. A small smile forms on his face when he sees Lily peacefully asleep.
The dutchman carefully picks the girl up and carries her to her bedroom. Max lays Lilianna on the bed and turns to walk away when he feels something grab his wrist. The redbull drivers turns around and sees Lilianna looking at him with her eyes slightly open. "Can you stay with me tonight?" she quietly asks, her voice already thick with sleep. "Are you sure?" Max asks, a tad bit nervous. "Yeah." Lilianna softly smiles as Max nods and walks to the other side of the bed.
He takes his shoes off and climbs into bed beside Lily. Once he had laid down, Lily lays her head on his chest, his arm draping around her waist as she falls back to sleep, one of her arms around his stomach. The boy felt as if his heart skipped a beat as he held the girl in his arms. After a moment of taking in the situation he was in, Max fell asleep himself.
