Third PERSON POV

EVENING

Yashi stood in the kitchen, carefully preparing Ruhi and Aashvi's favorite dishes. The aroma of spices filled the air as she moved gracefully, her saree hugging her frame while the delicate string of her blouse rested against her back. Suddenly, she felt a strong arm wrap around her waist, pulling her against a familiar chest.

She stiffened immediately.

"What do you want, Adarsh?" Her voice was cold, laced with irritation.

Adarsh didn't respond with words. Instead, he tightened his hold and buried his face in the crook of her neck. The warmth of his breath sent an involuntary shiver down her spine, igniting memories of seven years ago-memories she had buried deep within her heart.

"Sorry, Yashi," he murmured.

Yashi attempted to remove his hands, her body rigid. "Adarsh, leave... koi aa jayega," she warned.

"I don't care," he whispered, his grip firm, his hold unrelenting.

"But I do," she snapped, her sharp glare meeting his dark eyes.

In response, Adarsh pressed a soft bite against her neck. A gasp escaped her lips before she could stop it.

"I won't leave you until you forgive me," he declared, his voice a mixture of determination and pleading.

Yashi huffed in frustration. "Yeh kaunsi zabardasti hai?" she muttered, irritated.

Adarsh smirked. "Whatever you think."

He bit her neck again, teasingly, and Yashi gasped once more.

"I-I forgive you," she stammered, her voice betraying her resolve. "Ab chhodo mujhe... koi dekh lega."

Adarsh finally turned her around, gently tucking her loose strands of hair behind her ear. His eyes softened as he gazed into hers, filled with emotions he had suppressed for too long.

"I am sorry," he whispered. "And this sorry is not just for today... it's for every single pain I have caused you, for every tear that fell because of me. I'm truly sorry, my jaan."

Yashi inhaled deeply, a soft smile tugging at her lips. "I forgave you the very first day I saw you with our Aashvi. Maybe you hurt me, but my heart... my heart never held anger against you. You always say that mistakes are meant to happen. So for me, it was just that-a mistake. My past doesn't define me, Adarsh. Seeing Aashvi happy with you... that is my future."

Adarsh let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "I don't know what good deeds I did to deserve you," he murmured before placing a soft kiss on her forehead, his arms holding her close.

His lips curved into a teasing smirk. "Now, can I romance my cute, beautiful wifey?"

Yashi rolled her eyes, pushing him back slightly. "Bilkul bhi nahi! Abhi mujhe apne bacchon ke liye unka favorite khana banana hai."

Adarsh leaned back with a mischievous grin. "Okay."

Yashi resumed her cooking, her mind slowly easing back into focus-until she felt a light tug at her back. A sharp gasp escaped her lips when she realized what had happened. Her blouse dori had come undone.

"Adarsh, no!" she hissed, spinning around to find him smirking.

"Kya? Main toh ja raha hoon, Yashi," he teased, feigning innocence.

Yashi's eyes widened in fury. "I will kill you, Adarsh Oberoi!"

Adarsh chuckled at her cute angry face. "Sure, sure."
