I think we were just about to head out as the sun was beginning to drift, tomorrow being Monday meant it was nearly the end of the first month of classes which meant the start of exams and shit really starting to hit the fan. Tomorrow in our lyricism class those who wanted to would preform the songs they had written for assignments and those like me would simply turn them in in silence. "Are you gonna do your song in class tomorrow or...?" I asked curiously as Julien and I tried to clean up after we ate. Phoebe and Lucy making their way over to set up a free pool table.
"Nah, I don't think so." Julien shrugged, feeling her arms around my waist as I tossed our excess of used plates occupied by uneaten pizza crusts. "I think that'd kind of ruin my whole... emo and mysterious vibe." She joked, briefly swinging her hair in front of her eyes as if she had the stereotypical emo haircut and I only burst into giggles.
"Shut up." I rolled my eyes, reaching forward to tuck her hair behind her ears as I shyly laid my lips on hers. "You're kind of like a golden retriever actually."
"Am not." She said with a gasp of mock offense. "How dare you? I'm a pitbull!"
"Keep dreaming, Baker." I teased with a snicker, already moving for her lips again, as greedy as ever before I heard the sound of two people clearing their throats from a few feet away.
"Hey lovebirds!" Phoebe echoed with a raised eyebrow as she twirled a pool cue in her hands. "You wanna play or just watch me kick Lucy's ass?"
"Keep dreaming, lemon loaf." Lucy shot back, mimicking hitting her with her own pool cue as Julien only laughed as she peered down at me.
"You down?"
"I've never played before so I- I probably wouldn't be any good." I admitted with a deep flush, Julien's eyes widening for a moment in surprise at first.
"Oh, I've got you." She said, throwing an arm around my shoulders as she lead us off towards the wall of different sticks. "We're gonna tag team it if you guys are cool with that." She replied, grabbing a stick of her own as she seemed to take charge of the situation so easily.
"Most competitive player is left to train the newbie? I'm definitely up for that." Phoebe smirked earning an eyebrow raise from Julien that nearly sent me reeling.
"And it still doesn't make you any closer to winning." She replied, Lucy staring back and forth between the two with wide eyes of her own.
"You guys are gonna make Hazel cum before we even start playing." She replied, my jaw dropping as I darted my eyes up to meet Julien's for the millionth time. Face feeling like it was on fire as she only tugged me off to one side of the pool table.
"Yeah and I can't wait until I do that too." She smirked down at me, already feeling my head dart in several different directions as she stood leaned up against the pool table. The way the cuffs of her button up was rolled up to her elbows revealing the different lines of tattoos, while one arm stayed wrapped around my waist. I hated the effect she had on me.
"Alright frat boy, you can do that later, now it's time for you to get your ass kicked." Possibly the only time Phoebe would ever say such a thing as well, removing the triangle from the cluster of 8 balls as she positioned herself, obviously planning on going first. And something told me that was a frequent occurrence for her.
"Alright, so your objective, don't sink your own balls. After everyone goes we can pick a group of 5 to protect, if all your balls get sunk then you're out. Last one standing wins." She informed me, her eyes glued on Phoebe as she seemed to watch every little move she made.
