A change in life

Anxiety 

"Sir? There is a giant snake around his body.", screamed a nurse.

"Damn it. I forgot about her.", cursed Sebastian, immediately running at his grandson's side. "I'm sorry. It's Severus' familiar."

"We have to remove her, sir. From what I can see, the snake was also hit, but it's more like a scratch. Luckily, it prevented that the spell hit a lower part, but we need access to check it anyway.", said a healer, who run a diagnostic charm.

"I know, I know. Severus? Can you hear me? You have to tell Nagini to move, please." Sebastian strokes Severus' pale cheek, sweat glistering on the forehead.

They all heard the low hissing. Nagini is fighting her instincts to attack all the strangers, knowing that her hatchling is hurt and needed help. When the spell hit them, she felt how it sliced her and Severus' body. She had wrapped her body around Severus abdomen, hips and chest twice, hoping to protect all vital parts with enough of her body. Unfortunately, the spell was very powerful and went through an open spot at Severus' side.

"How could you miss the snake? She's huge.", asked the nurse angry. "We cannot allow this monster to be in a hospital."

"Nurse Betty, stop it. Call for healer Abasi, I need him here."

"But."

"Now.", snarled the healer, a middle-aged woman called Miriam Strout.

The nurse disappears and comes back with another healer a few minutes later. "Mr. Abasi, I have an injured snake. Would you take care of it as soon as she let go of him. "Of course, Strout. What have we here anyway?"

"My grandson was hit by a strong cutting spell. His familiar prevented more damage, but he's still seriously injured."

"I see. You should be prepared as soon as the snake moves. I think she put pressure around the wound, what prevents that he's losing too much blood, but it may change."

"Yeah, I thought so."

And like the healer Abasi said, they could see how more blood leaves the wound as Nagini unwrapped herself from around Severus, who gets even more paler.

"Damn it." Strout vanishes Severus robe and tunic and they could see the five inch long cut, beginning from under Severus' breast and running along his side to his back. It was even worse as they first thought. "I need two Blood-Replenishing Potions, a Pain Potion, a Wound-Cleaning Potion and a Healing Potion."

"He's a Death Eater. You cannot seriously mean to help him.", yelled the nurse.

"Nurse Betty, you will leave immediately. I have no use with someone with your attitude.", said Strout while casting a Patronus to call another nurse to bring the needed potions.

"Please hurry." With that the small blue fox disappeared.

Strout chants a spell to stop the blood leaving Severus' body. Just a minute later, a young man enters and hands over the potions.

"Is there anything else I can do?"

"Here, you have to clean the wound first, before I can close it. I cast the blood-replenishing potion directly into his stomach."

Sebastian had gone back to the small chair, watching nervously how Sprout and the boy are attending to Severus. The other healer is working on Nagini's injury. Due to all the blood, they hadn't seen how deep the cuts truly were, but now it was clear that Nagini had also two deep cuts on two different parts on her body. 'By Merlin, hadn't she be there, Severus might have been dead already and it wasn't even the whole spell that hit them.', thought Sebastian desperately.
