Hermione sat on her bed, a letter in her hands. During the reading, she got angrier and angrier. The letter was from her parents. Apparently, someone informed them about her misbehavior during her years in Hogwarts. She never even thought about it could be had McGonagall. No, she was sure it was Snape. Now that Dumbledore was gone, the greasy git could finally take his revenge. There was no other way.
Her parents were disappointed. Hermione couldn't understand why. Her grades were excellent. That she's failing at the moment, is only because of all the chaos and changes. The classes seemed more difficult now as when Dumbledore still had been headmaster. The professors praised her less, actually the contrary. They lecture her even more about her attitude to answer questions without lifting her hand, taking even house points. That's why the other Gryffindors are angry with her.
It was unfair. She was the smartest witch the wizarding world has seen for centuries. Dumbledore had said it himself and had encouraged her. He allowed her to use a time turner in her third year, because he wanted to help her to accomplish her goals.
Her thoughts drifted to the girl. Snape's daughter dared to call her stupid. What would a toddler, not even two years old, know? Hermione felt so humiliated, scolded by a little girl in front of so many people. Since then, Hermione was even more determined to study, but still somehow, her grades would continue to worsen. She blamed Snape for it. All the changes in classes are messed up. How the professors could allow it, she couldn't understand.
And the others? Everyone seemed fine with all of it, even saying that they would finally be able to learn the real stuff, especially in DADA. Even Potions was better than ever. There were less accidents and injuries like when Snape had been the professor. But now that they have a professor, who wasn't biased? Even Neville improved to a grade, where he was almost as good as she was, at least when it came to preparation of ingredients. Hermione couldn't still fathom, that Neville had private lessons with Snape once a week. He completely lost his fear of Snape and Hermione was sure Snape had hexed him, all of them.
Just yesterday, Neville came running into the common room, excited, saying if they already heard the news. Of course, everyone wanted to now and Neville said that Snape was expecting triplets. At the evening, while dinner, everyone congratulated him and Snape even blushed. Hermione almost vomited.
That was another thing. Hermione couldn't believe he could be pregnant. She never heard about something like this and she hadn't found anything about it in the library. Should something like male bearers truly have existed then shouldn't there be any books?
The most disgusting thing, however, was how Harry behaved. He wouldn't leave Snape alone, except he had to be in class. Even the past few days, Harry sat beside the greasy git in the Great Hall, one arm around him and a hand on the stomach. Neither had questioned it nor had anyone looked disgusted. Hermione found it annoying. The first time she wanted to ask, why a student was allowed to sit on the staff table, but a fierce grip on her arm stopped her. As she turned around, she looked directly into Neville's angry eyes, hissing at her to dare to say anything. She wanted to protest, but Hermione noticed the others also staring at her, so she kept her mouth shut.
Now, staring at the letter from her parents, Hermione felt lost and angry. All her plans were destroyed overnight. No one wanted to listen to her and everyone looked at her suspicious and with open disgust.
Hermione decided, she needed fresh air and maybe Ron had sent her a letter. After the whole fiasco with Molly attacking Snape and finding out about their true inheritance, Ron and Ginny decided not to return, especially as news arrived them that Snape was the new headmaster. The Weasleys weren't kind to them, because of their decision to reject Arthur's offer to blood-adopt them. Ron had told her, how Arthur ignored how the twins hexed him.
