The next weeks were quiet. It was now a week before the Yule holidays and everyone was excited, because the students had managed to convince their headmaster to make the changes before they would leave. They wanted to see it with they own eyes, how the castle would change, to which second home they would come back in the new year.

Harry and his friends kept a close eye on Hermione. As planned Severus used Legilimency to see what she and the idiots planned. He did it the same day they spoke about it. As soon as everyone had settled down for dinner, Harry entered the Great Hall, went straight over to Severus and gave him a passionate kiss. As expected Hermione stared at them with disgust and Severus used the chance to invade her mind as soon as she met his eyes for a brief second. She didn't even notice it.

Afterwards, Severus explained in an upsetting tone, what he found. They truly wanted to invade Hogwarts and cause the dragons to attack students, only to prove that Severus wasn't fit to be Headmaster of Hogwarts. Too bad for them, that the wards would stop them, even if they were in their animagus forms. But Harry had another idea. Why not let them enter and catch them in the act? They could alarm the Aurors as soon as Severus felt them stepping on the school grounds.

What wasn't a surprise was for Narcissa finally disowning Sirius. They all had wondered why she didn't it the moment after getting the title, but she explained, that disowning a former Lord Black needed a lot of preparations, as she found out only after she got the title. The Black magic was old, almost sentient and if it doesn't accept the new Lord fully, before the former is disowned, it could end badly. Sirius might be a disgrace to the Black name, but he had been the Lord for many years, even if he was in Azkaban most of the time. Narcissa explained, that due to her weakened state, it took her longer to connect to the family magic. It was really difficult to explain it, but in the end, she managed it and without any warning disowned Sirius.

The best part, it happened during a visit from Sirius, Remus and Ron in Diagon Alley. They were loudly complaining with one of the shop owners, as Sirius suddenly gasped and fell to the ground. The owner just muttered 'It was about time', while others laughed openly.

Of course, Sirius came running, but didn't get further as the wards would allow him. To their luck, he didn't try to enter at his animagus form or it could have jeopardize their plans. Instead, he was even stupider and attacked the wards, which ended with a visit in a cell in the ministry for almost a week.

However, everyone was worried when Molly's disappearance came out. There was no clue of her whereabouts and the Aurors couldn't explain how she was able to escape. Of course, their first guess was Ron, Sirius and Remus, but dismissed the idea fast, because all three of them were too stupid to sneak into the ministry without alerting someone.

Then there was also the sudden disappearance from other wixen, mostly former death eaters. Most thought they had left the country to start a new life somewhere else, but Harry and Severus weren't so sure about it. It felt more as someone was on a hunt and was slowly getting closer to their prey.

Speaking of a hunt. The aurors in France gave notice of the successful retrieving of the Horcrux, though it wasn't as easy as hoped. There were a lot of cursed traps around the necklace and one of them almost died when one of the curses was broken. But in the end they managed to dislodge all the traps and locked the necklace inside a special box, which was now on the way to Harry. He had insisted to be the one destroying the Horcrux. Not that he didn't trust the wixen, but for his own peace of mind, he needed to know that the last Horcrux was gone.

The news of Ginny being held prisoner in Malfoy manor, pregnant with another offspring of Voldemort, shocked them. Not that she was pregnant per say, because everyone knew of Ginny's affairs. Truly, it was just a matter of time, until it'd have happened. Harry had already prepared for the case Ginny would try to throw a child on him.
