Summer and Gina just got off stage after a scene and they walk into the bomb shelter. "Wow, um, I think we kinda nailed it." Gina says. "Yeah." Summer says. "Wait, what's wrong?" Gina asks, seeing that something was up with Summer. "You've played a lot more leading roles than I have. What do you do when there's someone in the audience who could change your life?" Summer asks. "Summer, you're a great actor. So just act like someone who knows what she's doing." Gina tells her. "Does that ever work?" Summer asks. "Works for me everywhere I go." Gina replies. "It's my greatest trick. Also, sort of my only trick." "Oh, you have a ton of tricks." Summer says. "Yeah, well, I save my best one for tonight." Gina says. "'The Disappearing Gina Act'." "Come here." Summer says hugging Gina. "Love you, G." "Love you to, Sum." Gina replies. "Summer, we need you in the wings now." Natalie tells her. "Okay." Summer replies. "Go do your thing." Gina says giving Summer's hands a squeeze. Summer gives her a small smile before leaving.
Summer makes her way onto the stage, where who she thought was Ricky had his back to her. "Wow. So this is your real stage." Summer says as Gabriella. Summer was looking out at the audience but when she looked back at the person who was on stage with her she saw EJ, not Ricky. "I guess you could call it that. Or just a smelly gym." EJ says as Troy. "What's going on? Where's Ricky?" Summer asks covering her mic so the audience didn't hear. The scene goes on. "EJ, I'm serious. Why isn't Ricky..." "This was his idea." EJ tell her. "Just trust me, okay?" The person playing couch Bolton comes on with Ashlyn so Summer takes this as her chance to go and find Ricky. She wanted to stay to watch Ashlyn but she had to find her best friend.
Summer was sat in the bomb shelter with Nini, Kourtney, Gina and Alice. She turns on her phone to see a message from Ricky. "SOS! Don't freak out, but EJ is going on as Troy. I am so sorry. My mom's boyfriend showed up and I'm a mess. You deserve a real leading man out there in front of that scout." Summer reads. "Uh, well I guess that's sort of sweet in a really dumb way." Kourtney says. "I got to go find him." Summer says standing up. "But you're needed on stage soon." Alice points out. "Not for another ten minutes. And I think I know where he might be anyway." Summer says.
Summer heads straight to the music room hearing the guitar strumming. She walks to the doorway seeing Ricky. She peers around the doorway watching him as he starts to sing.
