"One more time. I just want an extreme close-up on Alyson." Quinn tells everyone.
"How extreme are we talking here?" Alyson asks.
"Handheld." Quinn replies. "Very jittery, in case I want to play Ms Darbus as broken and afraid. We're thinking of adding a terminal illness into Act three."
"Oh God. Kenny Ortega, where are you when I need you?" Alyson asks.
"Okay, seriously how did you do that?" Mack asks Summer.
"Do what?" Summer asks.
"Akk right, we;re going again in 20 seconds." Quinn announces. "Tight on Alyson, stand by."
"Nail the scene in one take. Look, I grew up running lines with my mom, what you did, that was real." Mack says. "Meanwhile, I feel naked without a laugh track, you know?"
"Well Mack, I just closed my eyes, and pictured saying goodbye to somebody really important to me." Summer says.
"Like a dog?" Mack asks.
"Yeah, Mack. Like a dog." Summer says, sarcastically. "Here, let's make a deal, I'll teach you how to be a real teenager if you teach me how to be a star. I've already got some weird people in my comments, some about my album, some about the film, it's a lot."
"Tell me about it." Mack says, with a smile.
"All right, here we go." Quinn says, as Summer gives Mack a suspicious look.

Once Summer was wrapped for the day, she makes her way back to her trailer to get ready to go home. She opens the door to find her trailer completely decorated.
"Ah. I'm not done decorating yet." She hears Ricky shout.
"Ricky! Wait." Summer says, walking in and closing the door as she laughs. Summer starts to look around. "Are you serious? what? How did you...?"
"I posed as security and snuck into your trailer." Ricky tells her. "Emmy taught me how to go undercover, so..."
Summer squeals as she runs and hugs him. He instantly hugs her back.
"You're so sweet." Summer says, pulling away, but keep her arms around his neck, while his stays around her waist.
"Also, I was watching you today and something hit me." Ricky says.
"Okay?" Summer says, as Ricky grabs both her hands and leads her to sit down on the couch. "You were wrong in sixth grade. You said and I quote. 'I've never had anyone outside of my family who really cares about me and believes in me. I also never get things right the first time'."
"I said that?" Summer asks.
"I don't think I've ever forgotten a thing you said." Ricky admits, causing Summer to laugh. "Anyways, you did it today. You got it in... what's that thing Maddox keeps yelling on set?"
"In one take?" Summer asks.
"Yes, in one take. You got it in one take. And yes, sure, I ruined it in the end." Ricky says.
"Yeah, but it was kind of hilarious seeing you get shooed away." Summer tells him. "It's nice to know I have my first super cute superfan."
"Always. And that actually leads me perfectly onto my next point. As for you saying 'You've never had someone who really cares about you or believes in you..." Ricky says, trailing off as he moves closer to her and grabs both her hands. "Sum, I have truly cared about you and believed in you since the day we met. Actually screw that, I have cared about you and believed in you since Kindergarten when I would stare at you across the classroom and playground because I was to nervous to talk to you."
"We were 5 and 6, Ricky." Summer says laughing.
"What can I say? I've alwaysed had a thing for you." Ricky says, causing Summer to burst out laughing. "But, uhm, I know that things are busier now, so I can rehearse for 'HSM 3' after school, on the weekends, even during secret make out times, if that's what it takes. I just... I don't want..."
"Hey." Summer says, tightening her grip on his hands. "We're gonna find a way to have it all, Ricky. You know how much the musical means to me. I don't know how, but I think the right answer will appear."
"I hope so." Ricky says, before kissing her.
"I love you." Summer says.
"I love you to." Ricky says.
Summer smiles before kissing him again.

Summer was walking up a flight of steps, on her way out of the school, when she bumps into Gina.
"Hey G." Summer says.
"Hi." Gina says coldly.
"G, what's going on? Did I do something wrong? You've been off with me since the start of the school year." Summer says.
"I'm trying not to go all Gina 1.0 on you, but it's hard when you have the life and the boyfriend I want." Gina admits.
"What are you talking about?" Summer asks.
"Come on, Summer don't be stupid." Gina asks.
"I seriously have no clue what your talking about." Summer tells her.
"Well, for starters the movie." Gina says.
"Oh I'm sorry that they wanted me and not you. I actually have control over that." Summer says sarcastically.
"And Ricky." Gina says.
"What about Ricky?" Summer asks.
"I like him, okay? I do. And it's obvious you guys are back together." Gina says.
"I can't help the fact that he loves me and not you." Summer says.
"You just get everything handed to you. You get all the leads in the musical, you get a lead in a movie without even trying, and you get the perfect boyfriend. None of which, if I'm being honest, you deserve." Gina says.
"Wow." Summer says. "I really thought you were my friend. Guess not."
"Yeah, maybe you're right." Gina says.
Summer shakes her head, walking past her. She turns to look at her again.
"Just so you know, I haven't had everything handed to me.I have worked my ass off to get where I am. My own parents don't believe in my and I have had to live with that for years. And you know what my parents did to me... I thought you would be happy that I'm finally proving them wrong."
"I am, okay. I am happy you are finally proving those jerks wrong. But you can't always use them as an excuse."
"I'm not." Summer says.
"Yes you are. You gotta admit it." Gina says.
"You know what. I'm gonna leave before we both say something else we regret." Summer says.
Summer runs a hand through her hair and turns, walking away from the person she thought was her best friend.

Summer ran back to her trailer to get something she forgot. While she was in there, there was a knock on the door.
"Ricky Bowen." Summer says laughing. "Come in!"
A moment later Mack pokes his head in.
"Hey, cool if I..." Mack starts pointing into the room.
"Yeah, of course." Summer says, before Mack walks in.
"So, I thought about what you said." Mack tells her.
"Which part?" Summer asks.
"Well,  you'll teach me how to be real and I'll teach you how to be a star. You know, handle the super fans, deal with the stress, coast on a set with three hours of sleep and a big smile."
"Okay. When do you want to start?" Summer asks.
"Star lesson number one. Kristen Stewart and Robert Patterson, J.Lo and Drake, Kendall Jenner and Harry Styles." Mack says.
"You just listed a bunch of people who pretended to be a couple for publicity." Summer says.
"Exactly, think about it. Could give the movie some good press." Mack says.
"Are t you and Dani still a couple?" Summer asks.
Mack just smiles at her.
"Tag your it." Mack says, only confusing Summer more. "I just gave you your first star lesson. Let me know when you are willing to teach me how to act. See ya."
Mack then leaves, leaving Summer stood there shocked.
