Summer looks down at the number which was stuck on her t-shirt before looking back up at Krystal. "Can you stand in for Dani for a moment?" Krystal asks. "I would be honoured." Summer says, glancing at Ricky, who had a shock but proud look on his face. Summer makes her way over and stands next to Mack, as Ricky sends Carlos out to have his audition.
Summer was last to go for her audition. After rehearsing the dance with Mack a little Krystal gave them a ten minute break. Summer subtly grabs Ricky's hand briefly as she runs past the group to get to the rehearsal room. Summer runs into the rehearsal room and gets on the makeshift stage, Miss Jenn had set up. Miss Jenn then started playing the backing track for 'Now Or Never' from 'HSM 3'. Summer takes a breath before starting her audition.

After her audition, Summer went straight back to rehearsals for the film. Dani still had not arrived, meaning Summer still had to step in for her. Summer and Mack were doing the dance while the others danced around them. As it comes to an end Quinn walks in with Dani. "Yes! Featured background kids, great job today." Krystal says. "You are released. Mack and Summer, stand by." Summer glances at Ricky who gives her two thumbs up. Summer smiles before Summer follows Mack to go talk to Krystal, while Ricky walks off stage in the other direction. "Ricky, right?" Dani says as Ricky goes to walk past her. "Who's that girl dancing with my boyfriend?" "Her? Oh, that's Feature Background Number Three." Ricky says, his proudness evidence in his voice. "Uh-huh. She's looking very foreground to me." Dani says. "What was that, Ash?" Ricky asks, looking for a way to get out of the conversations. "So sorry, I'll be right back."

While, Ricky and Dani were talking. Summer and Mack finished talking to Krystal. As Ricky was walking away from Dani, Quinn stops Summer. "Hey there." Quinn says. "Hi there, to you as well, too." Summer says. "The next time my leading lady is late for dance rehearsal, do me a favour and try not to take her place. Hollywood 101." Quinn tells her "No, I'm sorry I didn't... uh..." Summer starts, as Quinn walks away and Mack walks up to her. "And she's gone." "Well, today was unexpected." Mack says. "Almost asunexpected as being invited out to coffee last night." Summer says. "Oh, is it that obvious? Should of used my burner phone." Mack says jokingly. "I would have been very creeped out if I didn't know it as you." Summer says, causing them both to laugh. "Look, I'm use to fans chasing after me. I'm not use to them standing up to me. Like you did a lot last week." Mack says. "I was impressed." "Is this an apology for being an ass to start off with?" Summer asks. "Because I still haven't had one." "Depends, is it working?" Mack asks. "Maybe." Summer says. "Did you say something to Krystal to get her to choose me out of everyone?" "I only told her that you were the one to teach me how to dance for this film." Mack replies, causing Summer to laugh. Dani then clears her throat causing them both to look at her. "Mack, baby, can I have a word?" Dani asks. "Yeah." Mack says. Mack glances at Summer before walking away with Dani. Dani glances back at Summer causing her to look around confused.

Summer gets to her locker. She opens only for a note to fall out. 'Turn around' Summer does as the note says, only to come face to face with Ricky holding another note. She laughs as she takes it. 'Meet me in the secret staircase in 5?' Summer reads it before looking up and finding Ricky gone. She laughs and shakes her head. Summer puts the notes in her locker. Grabbing the book she came to get before closing her locker and going to meet Ricky.
Summer gets to the staircase to find Ricky with one of the signs for the movie over his face. "Oh, this is sneaky." Summer says. "This is just part one." Ricky says, taking the sign away from his face. "Part one of what?" Summer asks. "Our first official date tonight. Since we got back together." Ricky says. "We've got a lot to celebrate." "Do we? I feel like I offended Dani and Quinn when I stepped in with Mack." Summer admits. "That's not what I saw." Ricky says. "Then what did you see?" Summer asks leaning on the railing behind her. Ricky smiles stepping in front of her, their bodies super close as he puts a hand on her chin. "I saw a brilliant dancer and a has-been sitcom actor." Ricky says. The janitor then comes up the stairs causing Ricky to quickly pull away and hide his face behind the sign again. "Mack may be a lot, but he's just trying his best." Summer tells her boyfriend. "Yeah, well, so am I." Ricky says. "Besides, he has a girlfriend." Summer says, before her phone goes off. "Alice and her mom are waiting for me outside." "I thought you were staying with Ashlyn and her parents." Ricky says. "I am, but Alice needs my help with homework so I told her I'd pop over." Summer says. "Secret date, tonight?" Ricky asks. "I wouldn't miss it for the world." Summer says, before kissing his cheek. "Oh. Careful." Ricky says, as Summer laughs. She pushes his shoulder before walking down the stairs. Ricky smiles and watches her before walking up the stairs.

Alice and Summer were sat on Alice's bed doing homework. "So, you and Mack?" Alice says. "What about us?" Summer asks. "The chemistry between the two of you while dancing today. Undeniable." Alice says. "We're just friends, who met a week ago in Cali and taught each other new things. I taught him how to dance and he taught me how to surf. Plus he has got a girlfriend. After he's done filming this movie, we'll probably never talk again." Summer says. "If you say so." Alice says, sounding unconvinced. "Why don't you believe me?" Summer asks. "Because, it's clear that you're now over Ricky because you seem a lot happier, and I'm pretty sure Mack and Dani will break up soon, it's perfect timing." Alice tells her. Summer just nods. Little did Alice know, the reason why Summer was so happy wasn't because she was over Ricky, but instead was because she couldn't stop thinking about him.
