Vierra’s POV
“W-what…WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED HERE?!”
Oh what a lovely morning.
I just sip my coffee as I calmly listen to Uncle Robert’s rants.
Well, I already expected it anyway.
Tinignan ko ang orasan at 6 a.m. pa lamang ng umaga.
“I just took a day off but what happened? I really shouldn’t have left—”
“Calm down uncle.” Pagpuputol ko ng kanyang hinanaing. Baka mamaya, atakihin siya sa puso, edi nalagot pako sa ama ko.
Tinignan ko si Uncle Robert at mukhang gumana naman dahil kumalma na rin siya. Elegante niyang pinunasan ang kanyang noo bago yumuko ng kaunti, “Pardon me Young Lady for you have witnessed that side of me.”
“…But if I may ask, what truly happened here…Miss?” Alanganin niyang tanong habang nililibot ang kanyang tingin sa paligid.
Sinundan ko ang kanyang tingin at parang dinaanan nga ng bagyo ang sala.
“Well…someone broke into the house last night.” I calmly explained before sipping my coffee again. Oh I really love the aroma of this coffee…it makes me calm.
As I sip, I look at him to relay the message that he should be calm. Mabilis niya rin namang nakuha ang gusto ko kaya wala na lamang siya nagawa kundi ang mapabuntong-hininga bago hinilot ang kanyang sintido.
“Then we must investigate—” Sa ikalawang pagkakataon ay pinutol ko ulit ang kanyang sinabi.
“You don’t have to worry, Kian already handled it…isn’t that right Kian?” I said before looking at his back where Kian is ascending from the stairs.
Panandaliang natigilan naman si Kian ng marinig ang boses ko bago tumuloy sa pagbaba at lumakad sa direksyon namin. Nasa dining room kasi kami ngayon.
“Good morning Miss…Good morning Robert.” Pormal na sabi ni Kian. Even though he still has wounds on his body, he still manage to act as if nothing happened.
Without realizing, a smile is already plastered on my lips…It is really true that I like this ‘Kian’ more. Very competent and reliable.
“…Just like what Miss said, some assassin broke into the house. He’s a tough one, but we manage to handle it.”
“…Alright, it’s a good thing then. But, how about the body?”
“I already disposed it.” Kian calmly reply.
“Then if that’s the case, then I shall take my leave. I still need to call for some assistance for the repair.” With that, Robert bowed his head slightly before walking away elegantly.
Now I kinda feel bad that a new pile of work is waiting for him. Kababalik pa nga lang niya mula sa kanyang day-off pero ito na agad ang bumungad sa kanya.
