“There’s a rumor that you have a sugar baby, what can you say about it?”
“Someone saw you being intimate with someone, is it true Miss Astrid?”
“You didn’t show up together with your muse and instead bring a new person, is this a sign that you’re taking another muse?”

“So what you’re saying is that he couldn’t make it?” Napahawak ako sa aking sintido matapos marinig ang balita mula kay Kian.
“Yes…for some reason, we couldn’t reach him since a week ago. Then yesterday, I just received a news that he was under attacked, that’s why he had lost contact with us.”
Napatigil ako sa paghilot ng aking sintido matapos marinig iyon.

“Tsk! Is that something related to an inheritance?”
“…I believe so.” Nakayukong sabi ni Kian.
Malalim akong napabuntong-hininga bago pumikit.
“Why did you just decide to tell me now?” I coldly ask. In fact, I’m just stopping myself from raising my voice.
“…My apologies for my lack of awareness.” Tinaas ko ang aking kamay at winagayway ito sa harap niya.

Tinignan ko siya ng matagal bago napabuntong-hininga ulit. There must be a reason why a simple matter as this was not properly handled by Kian. And no matter the reason behind that, I don’t care…as long as it doesn’t affect me and my business.
