Nine and Rusty Rose's Adventure

Act 3: Reunited Again

Sonic and Nine had just broken into the Chaos Council's domicile and were making excellent progress on their mission, however things went south once they were captured by a group of secret EggForcers.

Sonic: "Grunt...man, I can't remember the last time I felt like this since the time I completely broke my chili dog record."

Sonic then noticed that his limbs were restrained with high-tech shackles. But the blue blur wasn't going to give up.

Sonic: "Pfft, classic shackles. No sweat, I can bust out of these in no time."

All that effort however went in vain and the hedgehog absolutely had no idea how wrong he was.

Sonic: "For the love of...what gives?"

Nine: "Hey, Blue guy. You're wasting your breath."

Sonic: "Nine is that you?"

Still in a daze from the attack, Sonic's vision was blurry and could proper see his bearing.

Sonic: "Or are you the small blurry thing or the medium blurry thing?

Rusty then walked by looking not so cheerful.

Nine: "Rusty!"

Sonic: "Gasp! Amy...er Rusty! Now we're getting somewhere."

Rusty: "Affirmative my name is Rusty Rose."

Sonic: "Uh Nine, I know you've already given me the rundown on Rusty's form, but I had no idea she would be this mechanical."

Nine: "There were literally pictures of me and her all over the living quarters. How did you not see them?"

Sonic: "Huh, you sure?"

Rusty: "Actually I'm mechanically enhanced and upgraded. My survival and services required adaption, as you will soon learn."

Nine: "Hold up, this doesn't seem right."

Nine then noticed that Rusty's armor and metallic plating were partially tainted. Her alloy was replaced with a new metal, and her right eye was no longer pink, but red. This instantly gets him worried.

Nine (cautious): "Uh Sonic, I don't think she is on our side anymore. In fact, the eggheads have her under their power!"

Rusty: "Affirmative fox rebel."

Hearing those words gets Nine shocked and enraged.

Nine: "They even tainted her memories. The scoundrels!"

Sonic: "Oh Amy."

Rusty: "Rusty Rose. Now cease talking. You will need all the breath you can muster if you are to survive.

Just then the door opens and five figures sitting on their hover chairs had appeared in the shadows.

Sonic: "Ok cut the dramatics I know who you cracked eggheads are. So just get on with what you're about to do."

Dr. Done-It: "Such insolence."

Dr. Deep: "Way to spoil the entrance."

The Council then appeared out of the shadows simultaneously and give themselves a a grand fanfare.

Mr. Doctor Eggman: "One makes five. Five makes one."

Sonic: "Showoff."

Nine: "I concur."

The five tyrants then let out several frustrated grunts at their enemies.

Mr. Dr. Eggman: "We are what we are. Always have been, always will be."
