Nine and Rusty Rose's Adventure

Act 21: Lava Speedway Reef

Rusty: "You're onto something about the locations being connected Nine. So far from what my database is gathering on each of these locations' names they seem to be playing into a huge puzzle piece. Much from what I've gathered we may be dealing Wirth something unique if the emeralds' power united with the prisms' power can create all these alternate worlds."

Nine: "Is there anything else that you've gathered?"

Rusty goes through another scan but not much could be found in her data. The lore of the chaos emeralds was one category that still has many secrets and the prisms' lore however is a new thing that had just been surfaced for everyone.

Rusty: "Right now, I'm unable to find all the answer, but I'm sure with each new location we go to, I may come across some useful input about the strange power that both the emeralds and prisms have."

Nine: "Speaking over prisms, my body close to getting restored to its original state. It's only a matter of time for the process to work."

Rusty: "And by that you mean?"

Nine: "I'm almost all together. Just need a few more particles to be transferred from the prism and I'll be good."

Rusty: "Well at this rate you may be restored even before you arrive to the Green Hill Zone."

Nine: "And speaking of zones, this place is pretty unique from that previous one. You know, there actually being a city right at the back."

Rusty: "I just hope the inhabitants there are nice folks."

Nine: "Same here. Do you think we may run into any alternate versions of ourselves?"

Rusty: "Probably, depending on the circumstances."

Nine: "You think my version could be an eccentric like that Mangy guy?"

Rusty: "Depending on how this place looks, I'm not exactly certain of it."

Nine: "I just hope you're right."

Before the two could head to the city, a weird glow could be seen coming out from one of the lava pools. Nine pulls out his scanner and gets alarmed by the readings.

Nine: "I'm getting prism energy from that lava pool over there. Might have to check it out."

In Eggman X's base, we see Scratch, Coconuts, and Cubot attempting to tamper with the prism when their boss enters looking quite perturbed at their actions.

Eggman X: "What in blazes are you bots even trying to do!?"

The three quickly fall to the floor and began to let all sorts of crazy explanations for what they were attempting to do. At first, this was making the doctor furious, but this suddenly sparks up something inside his mind.

Eggman X: "Seems your attempt may have served as the catalyst for my next new scheme. If the prism and emerald energy is that powerful, then there could be a high chance I may unleash something grand than I can ever imagine."

We see the doctor dismiss Scratch and Coocnuts, but calls for Bocoe, Decoe, and Orbot to carry out the next phase of his plan.

Back with Nine and Rusty, the pair ventures around the area, doing a pretty risky game of hot or cold. Only this zone contains lava, so it's most likely a game of hot or hotter. The tracking however gets cut short when the two noticed a cavern filled to the brim with lava. There was no way they could enter inside it now.

Nine: "Goodness, this heat. Looks like we need to find a new area around this place."

Just then Rusty comes up with an interesting idea which intrigues Nine.
