Nine and Rusty Rose's Adventure

Act 22: Marble Labyrinth

Much to the Nine and Rusty's dissatisfaction, they had been sent to a new zone again and had managed to lose the prism from their previous location once they had been transported.

Rusty: "I'm getting very sick of getting fringed around into different areas without my consent."

Nine: "I couldn't agree more."

Rusty: "I'll do a quick scan around the place and see where that doctor even sent us this time. Never have I been more infuriated than I am right now."

As the cybernetic hedgehog does her survey, Nine checks around the place and becomes fascinated by some of the structures.

Nine: "Interesting. It's as if there was some sort of civilization was here."

The fox's amazement however falls flat when he sees a weird platform beneath him and Rusty. Suddenly, Nine rushes towards Rusty and carries her away from the ground before it caves in and melts with some of the lava.

Nine: "Whoa boy. That was too close."

Rusty: "I almost melted down into iron fillings right there."

Nine: "Might be best if we watch our step around here."

A beep then comes out of Rusty, alerting both her and Nine that the survey was done.

Nine: "So, what have you got?"

Rusty: "Well thanks to the prism's power and connection to the fragments of energy in this land, we are actually in the Marble Labyrinth Zone. The place is more of an unstable and abandoned civilization which is built above certain lava pools like the one you and I almost fell in."

After hearing that Nine looks behind him to see the lava pool.

Nine: "Huh. I see."

Rusty: "That's not all. According to my scanners, there are a plethora of traps here, used to ward off and destroy any intruders, though there are also no traces of active life or any dwellers in this part of the zone.

Nine: "I guess once our prisms charge up we can then focus their energy and transport ourselves to a different zone. In the mean time, lets get too how we can handle this place."

Rusty: "So far, the place is looking pretty peaceful despite all the traps."

In the quarters of the Eggman X's Garrison, we can see the doctor bringing out two giant tank shaped mechs while Scratch Grounder and Coconuts are arguing with one another.

Eggman X: "Will you three baboons quiet it down!?"

The three robots obeyed what their master had ordered. There was no telling what ther boss would do if they continued arguing like children. The doctor clears his throat a bit before he gives his commands to his three henchmen.

Eggman X: "Alright Scratch and Coconuts, I'm sending you two to handle that pair."

Coconuts: "At last, this is the time where I can get in on the action and not be staying in the sidelines."

Scratch: "Hey, what will Grounder be doing while we are busy huh?"

Coconuts: "And why exactly do you even care what he does?"

Scratch: "I'm just curious, that's all."

Eggman X: "Your partner Grounder is carrying out something very important for me at the moment."

Scratch: "Hey, no fair. How come he's going to do something important?"

Coconuts: "Now I'm starting to get jealous."

Eggman X: "You automated fools! I have my reasons for this plan. You dare to disagree with my brilliance?"

That makes both Scratch and Coconuts fall silent while Grounder just stood there looking smug with himself, knowing he'll be carrying out a task higher than his comrades'.
