JJ's POV:
She holds her hand up for like the millionth time. I'm so relieved she likes it all. I need to start saving again to be able to propose to her. I've got big plans.
"Ugh, if only John B would get me a ring like that." Sarah says.
"Hey, I thought you liked my sweaty bandana princess cut necklace bracelet thing." he says.
"I'm only kidding, but do you see how gorgeous that is?" she giggles.
"Ok, well I'm gonna go for a swim." I say. Y/n puts her hand out and I pull her up. I wrap my arm around her waist as we walk to the water together.
Sarah's POV:
They are the cutest. I love that JJ gave her a promise ring on her birthday. So fucking sweet. What's been weird is the lack of communication between me and John B.
"Did I do something?" I ask him. He's been so off and quiet lately.
"No." he says coldly.
"Just tell me what's going on with you." I say.
"Nothing is going on with me Sarah!" he says defensively.
"I don't believe you." I say.
"Fine. I just don't understand why Topper got you a bracelet for your birthday." he says.
"Yeah, me either. Especially when he's dating my sister." I say.
"Sarah, have you and Topper been like-" he begins.
"No. Fuck no. Why would you think that?" I ask, cutting him off.
"Because he got you a fucking bracelet." he says.
"I don't know why he did that ok? It really pissed me off." I say.
"Yeah, it pissed me off too." he says.
"Ok, well I'm sorry he got me a bracelet but I can't control what Topper does." I say.
"You wanna know why it pissed me off so much?" he asks.
"I think I already know." I say, not wanting him to say anything now.
"Because I got you the same bracelet." he says, holding the same small box I was holding only a few days ago.
"Wait what?" I ask.
"It took me ages to save up for this and then he went and got it for you." he says. I wrap my arms around his neck and squeeze him so tightly.
"I love you ok? So much." I whisper.
"I love you too." he says, squeezing me as well. "Happy birthday wife."
"Thank you husband." I smile.
JJ's POV:
What would happen if this was just a Topper round one 2.0? What if she only accepted the ring because she feels bad for me? What if she- Wait. What am I saying?
Topper cheated on her, so there's no way that this could be anything like that. Y/n loves me. Maybe I should just check though.
"Hey y/n." I say.
"Hey JJ." she says.
"You love me, don't you?" I ask.
"What kind of question is that?" she asks, looking at me. I flush.
"Nothing, nevermind, don't worry." I say, embarrassed.
"Of course I love you pretty boy." she says.
"But how do I know that you're not just saying that?" I ask, instantly regretting it. Instead of getting mad at me, she smiles at me.
