Day 5+6: Pet Sitters + Domestic (Assassin by Night AU)

Third Person's POV

"Whoa, never knew Jay was into snakes," Kai spoke as he look at the green tree python in Jay's room.

"Yeah, Jay's always had a thing for snakes," Cole started. "At this point, I'm surprised he hasn't ran out of snake facts."

"Er, do we really have to watch over the snake?" Lloyd said, he never really have a good relationship with snakes.

"Well, Jay only instructed me to watch over Slythers-"

"Slythers?" Kai repeated at the same time cut Cole.

"It's a nickname I gave the python," Cole responded.

"If that's its name, what's his real name?" Lloyd asked, now curious about the python.

Cole hesitated at first, but relented "Slytherin."

Series of chuckles and giggles were then heard. "Slytherin? Damn, Jay," Kai laughed.

"Salazar's a better name," Lloyd added.

"Agreed, but in all honesty, this is a nice place," Kai said, looking around the room. "I had no idea Jay was so wealthy."

Lloyd nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I thought he lived in a regular house like the rest of us."

Cole smiled. "Yeah, he's always been modest about it."

Suddenly, the python started moving around in its enclosure, causing Kai to jump. "Whoa, is it supposed to do that?" he asked, eyeing the snake warily.

Cole chuckled. "Yeah, it's just stretching. Snakes do that sometimes."

Lloyd, on the other hand, looked uncomfortable. "I don't like snakes," he muttered, scooting away from the enclosure.

As the night went on, the snake-sitting adventures continued. They fed the python and watched it slither around its enclosure, but nothing particularly eventful happened.

As the time Jay was supposed to come home got closer, Kai and Lloyd decided to head back to their own homes, leaving Cole to look after the snake for the rest of the night.

Cole checked the time, and brought the python out the enclosure and put it in Jay's bed.

"See ya tomorrow, Zaptrap ," Cole said as he left, making sure he locked the front door.

A few moments after Cole, Jay's pet python began to stir, its body beginning to shift and contort. Slowly, the scales began to fall away, revealing a head of fluffy, brunet hair where the snake's head once was. Limbs stretched out from its serpentine form, and soon, Jay was lying on his bed.

Jay's eyes slowly fluttered open, his mind still foggy from the transformation. He groaned and rubbed his temples, trying to shake off the disorientation that always followed.

As he sat up, he realized that he was completely naked. He groaned again, not looking forward to the task of finding clothes, but does it anyway since he doesn't Ed and Edna to see Jay like this.

Jay stood up and stretched, his bones cracking as he worked out the kinks from his time as a snake. He walked over to his closet and pulled out a fresh set of clothes, hastily throwing them on.
