No one's POV
“Hey, you doing better, Kai?” Cole asked as he entered Kai's Dojo.
“Of course, I'm better,” Kai started. “Better than ever!”
“Oh, please, spare me the theatrics,” Cole replied. “We both know you're about as "okay" as the broken cardboard cutouts of Kalmaar over there in your floor.”
“I-”
“Don't reassure me that you're "really" fine, because you're not. Like at all,” Cole spoke before Kai could even reply to her at all.
Silence.
“If you don't wanna talk about it-”
“I'm not okay,” Kai said. “That's all you get.”
Cole smiled, “Thank you for your honesty. Also, just so you know, I'm here for you, even if you don't want to share more. Heck, even Morro's willing to help.”
Kai's gaze darkened with the mention of Morro's name, “I still don't understand how you're able to forgive Morro that quickly.”
“He helped you guys figure out that I'm missing during Day of the Departed,” Cole explained.
“That doesn't equate to what he did to Lloyd before,” Kai commented. “He did made us realize about you, but you defeated Yang all by yourself.”
“Well, you guys helped very much, y'know,” Cole said scratching her nape.
“Huh?”
“I sorta lost hope while fighting him, then hearing and seeing you guys there, helped me,” Cole explained.
“Oh...” was all Kai could say. “Still doesn't equate to what he did to Lloyd.”
“Whatever floats your boat, Kai,” Cole begun. “Whatever floats your boat.”
