SRIMAD BHAGHAVATAM
Ugrasena was the king of Mathura. Ugrasena's wife, when was walking outside, shadow of a Rakshasha(demon) fell upon her body. She found out that she got pregnant due to the shadow of the demon. Sage Narada told Ugrasena, that the child to be born will be the most disastrous. Hearing this, Ugrasena got afraid.

When baby was born, Ugrasena kept him in a leaf and sailed him in a river. Near the river, there was a king called 'Surasena'. The father of Surasena was Devmidh. Devmidh, had two wives , from one Surasena was born and from other 'Parajanya' was born. Parajanya had five sons named: Nanda, Upananda, Sanand, etc and son of Surasena was VASUDEVA.

One wife of Devmidh was 'Vaishya' and the other was 'kshatriya'. Surasena , according to his father's varna, declared himself as kshatriya and Parajanya according to his mother's varna declared himself as Vaishya and did the work accordingly. One day, when Surasena was bathing in river he saw a baby in a leaf. He didn't know his identity. He bought him in his home, and took care of him and named him 'KANSA'.

As Kansa grew old, Narad ji thought, " Now the avatar should take place!". Narad ji said to Kansa, " You know this is not your father! Your father is the king of Mathura. ". Kansa got angry, and went and attacked Mathura. He went to Mathura, He ordered everyone in Mathura not to give any Yagna to any devatas. He told all of them to do only Yagna of him, do pooja of him and japa of him and only him.

Goddess Earth pleaded the Devatas and Devatas did 'Ksheer Sadhana'. They all wondered, "How to call god?", when Lord Shankar advised them to do Kirtan.

First child was born, Vasudeva ji took that baby to Kansa. Kansa felt pity on the baby. He said, "What have this child done to me. I will kill the eighth child!" Actually, one should understand that it is leela potrayed by god to take avatara. Kansa was not some ordinary soul, but he was very advanced soul. To take birth, he created all this leela. Narad ji appeared before kansa because he was wanting Lord Krishna to come . If Kansa will be pitiful, there will be no avatara. To deviate Kansa's mind , he bought flowers with eight petals. He said to Kansa, "That eighth child will be the reason for your death. Why did you leave him?"

Kansa replied, " But it's the first one!"

Narad ji said, "Look at the flower. Which is eighth petal?"

Kansa said, "1,2,3...8. Yes this one!"

Narad ji said, "Okay, count from this side!"

Kansa said, "1,2...8. This one!"

Narad ji said, "Okay from other direction if you will count than any petal might be eighth one. Why are you considering that petal to be eighth?" Kansa thought Narad ji to be very correct and ordered to bring first child back and killed him.

Here Sukadev ji says, god appeared in four armed form, where he was 6 foot tall, can he come out of Devaki's womb? How can a Sudarshan Chakra be inside her womb? Sukadev ji says that he wasn't in the womb

Actually Yamuna devi have three swarupa:In gokula, in Vrindavan and in Dwarika as his wife (Kalindi). So Yamuna devi wanted to touch the feet of her Swami. And she increased. Lord Krishna understood, and kept his legs outside, so that Yamuna devi could touch his lotus feet. After touching his feet, Yamuna Devi was now peaceful. During the journey, a fierce storm arose, and Vasudeva feared for the safety of the baby.

In Srimad Bhagvatam it is said,

Kansa , you will kill me!
Than Kansa thought he did a great mistake by capturing his sister and killing their children. He asked for forgiveness. He cried and released Vasudev ji and Devaki ji and went back. When he went back, the Ministers such as Aghasur, Bakasur, etc deviated his mind. They said, "Don't understimate Lord Vishnu! Are you god? Are you powerful like him?" Kansa thanked those ministers, and again he captured Vasudev ji and Devaki ji.

After sometimes Nandaa said that , "Sunandaa! You take care and at time of labour ,make me awake."

Nandaa too thought to rest for a while saying to Yashoda to call her name at time of labour. So only Yashoda Mata was awake at Prasutika Griha. But she too fainted, and Shri Krishna saw everyone sleeping there. He thought , when he came and everyone is sleeping is not good! Shri Krishna cried and Yashoda Mata was awake.
