Harry pov

I get woken up by someone shaking me and I press myself to the wall behind me. "Relax it's me." I recognize the voice but it takes me a moment to figure out from where.

"Draco."

"Yes, now you need to put on your robes because we are almost there." I nod my head and pry myself off of the wall. Draco takes my hand and places robes in the other. He leads me around the train and to a room. He opens the door before letting go of my hand. "Here is the bathroom, I will wait right outside to make sure you can get back to the compartment okay."

"Alright."

I close the door and pull off my old clothes before slipping on my robes. I look down to make sure that didn't get it stuck anywhere. When I finish my check I head back out. Me and draco end up getting back to the compartment right as the train reached its destination.

Draco tells me to leave my trunk as the house elves will bring it to the room that I end up in. I end up just following him out of the train. Dad comes to get me due to the fact that all the teachers deemed that a blind child riding in a boat without an adult is not safe.

He takes me to a carriage and sits in it with me. I can hear that it is moving before all of the rest. I can hear the wheels turning and hoofs hitting the ground. The sounds soothe my stress from the new environment.

Eventually the sounds stop and I follow Dad into the large magic filled castle. He leads me to right outside of a big set of doors and waits with me.

Soon enough I hear people coming down the hall that we had come from. Dad leaves me against the wall and says that he is going to go find someone. He comes back with a person covered in a light blue that is slightly darker than mine. They glow about the same as draco. He smells like burning wood. I wonder why.

"This is Charlie Weasley. He will be staying with you until it is time for the sorting as I have to go." I nod and dad walks off.

Charlie Weasley where have I heard that name before. I think while slightly bouncing on the balls of my feet. I can't seem to remember but I don't have time to worry about it as the next group of people comes and draco drags me to join them.

I see charlie walk off as a woman talks to us about the sorting. I barely listen as dad and Papa have already told me all about it. All of the people around me talk about what the test could be. Crazy ideas are thrown around even some coming from draco. I guess that I was the only one told.

We are lead into a loud hall filled with so many colors. I can't help but close my eyes and cover my ears as it is too overwhelming.

It soon quiets down and named start to be called. I focus on draco so that I don't have to deal with all of the colors. "Don't worry little one if you wish you can remove the colors for a while." The woman in my mind tells me.

"Please." I whisper back. Suddenly all I can see is the black and gold again and I sigh in relief. I listen as the names are called.

"Harry Gaunt." I look up when I hear my name and draco helps me up and on to the seat. I close my eyes and wait for the hat to be placed on my head.

"Hmm." I hear in my mind from a distinctly male voice. I jump at the sound and I nearly fall off of the chair. I calm myself and remember that dad and papa already told me that it did this. "Sorry I startled you. Now let me get on with the sorting. From a long line of Gryffindors and adopted by Slytherins. But not particularly ambitious and probably couldn't deal with the roudy nature of Gryffindor. Perhaps ravenclaw, but you are not particularly seeking knowledge. You care a lot about safety and look for friends who can hold your trust. Lastly to those you trust you are feriously loyal."

"It better be Hufflepuff!" He yells out loud and the teachers have one of the older Hufflepuffs take me to the table.
