Did he leave once more? Jack thought to himself as he rose from his bed. Looking around the campsite for Arthur who was nowhere within sight. How could he leave after what happened last night? Did he not mean what he said?

Just as Jack felt himself forming tears he heard the water from the river being disturbed. A splash of the water, like someone was wading through.

The brunette was quick to remove himself from the tent in pursuit of the noise. The cold air of the forest immediately invaded every inch of his body. He was nude. They were (to his knowledge) quite far into the woods, so nudity wasn't something he was worried about. Even then if someone did see him so what?

Walking towards the embankment of the stream Jack saw Arthur's clothing hung up on a tree branch. Moving forward he immediately saw Arthur. Well, the first thing he saw was a butt as Arthur for some unknown reason was bent over. It was quite the sight. Jack looked on as Arthur sat down in the knee-deep water. Gently massaging himself with the cold water, cleaning himself of any debris.

It was a pleasant sight. However, to be entirely honest Jack should wash up too, last night left him in need of a scrubbing as the stuff matted to his chest wasn't going anywhere on its own. The boy hated this feeling of dried seed. In the moment it's pleasurable, but after about ten minutes it's just gross. Placing a foot in the water Arthur turned to look at him.

"We'll then look who's up?" Arthur exclaimed, it's noon and Arthur's been up since sunrise. Around ten he felt the urge to wake Jack up but there was really no reason to. They don't have any deadlines they need to meet. No jobs. However, the man had just been waiting for Jack to wake up. And he was feeling kind of bored.

"Y'know what time it is?" Jack asked, approaching Arthur in the water.
"Just past noon." Jack figured as so, the sun is currently right above them after all. Arthur was sitting on a rock below the surface of the water, the brunette nearby finding a separate rock to rest on.
"I got kinda worried there for a minute. Thought you left again." Jack frankly muttered, "Nice to see I was wrong." Placing a hand on Arthur's shoulder Jack felt his warm embrace once more.

Seeing Arthur in his most natural state while being undoubtedly arousing, also provided a sense of tranquility and comfort in their skin. Being free of all societal expectations and bindings and sitting as a mammal in the water.

"Arthur?" Jack asked, resting in his partner's arms as they sat in the clear stream.
"Yeah?"
"What we do now?" Arthur pulled a blank. He hadn't got that far. He doesn't usually fire blanks but for some reason Jack makes him do it all the time.

He couldn't parade Jack around like a boyfriend. Two men were seen kissing on each other a few weeks ago, and their bodies were found a few days ago. From what Arthur heard of the bodies when they were found he's not too keen on that.

But he doesn't want to make Jack feel like he's a secret or a shadow. He's not ashamed to be with Jack, but it's just not safe to show anything more than friendly interactions when someone could be watching.

Maybe he could just keep him around and call him his pal. He could also possibly introduce Jack to the gang as his boyfriend, maybe they'd be accepting. However, he's never really talked to Dutch, or anyone for that matter about his sexuality or sex life. He hoped they'd be accepting, after all, he's been with them his entire life.

"We don't do anything. Just stay by my side and we'll be alright. Don't reckon anyone will question us." Arthur smiled, wrapping a wet arm around the boy. The water was cold. Jack reciprocated the grin as Arthur went in for a kiss, a brief one specifically due to the unpleasantness of morning breath. But nonetheless, it was a kiss they wanted.
"Hello, ladies!" Someone cackled out, a group of men laughing in response.
