Chapter 4- red as a tomatoe

So, I was asked by Peter if I was free tonight, I of course replied yes to that. I absolutely love dates, they're usually seen as 'romantic' by most people. Me? I just see it as a fun time to have with the people you know (also as romantic at times) Anyway, he said to meet him at the beach near all the ice cream stands at 8:30. As soon as the clock hit 8:17, I was ready to go. Y'know, I too kinda like him, after the break up between me and my ex, I promised myself to never get into a relationship again, but I guess I'm back on the love train again, aren't I?

Once I got to the beach, I already felt such a comfortable aura surrounding me, yup, no doubt about it, it was him, Peter. I felt myself overjoyed just by the mere presence of the man, 'I wonder if he likes me.' My heart started pounding like crazy, 'why does he look so good?!' and there he stood, right in front of me, he was wearing a pink Hawaiian shirt with rolled up sleeves, with that he also wore a dark gray jacket (since it was practically freezing outside) navy blue jeans, and light purple shoes that fit him perfectly. Those light green eyes were the only things fixated on me right now, wait- why is he staring right at me?! Then, the words that came out of his mouth sent a shock wave up my spine. "You, look gorgeous" said Peter while looking to his right side nervously. I must've probably looked really flabbergasted, cause then he said, " Are you alright? sorry, I got a bit carried away there haven't I?" Said Peter with an innocent grin that looked purely genuine, no sign of hate or toxicity, just.. love.

Then, suddenly a wind blew past me gently swaying my bangs to the right side of my face, it's like I was reliving every past moment I had with my ex. It was great. Then, without thinking, I slowly embraced him into my arms like we were lost lovers (which is kinda true) he returned the embrace, it was so warm and welcomig I felt like hugging him and never ever letting go. It was almost meant to be, we both then let of the warm embrace, as much as I didn't want to, we both knew it was something that can't last forever. He then offered me to go to the ice cream stands, there we would pick out our favorites and chat endlessly, he might even bring up about the formula that is currently stolen.

I walked over to the ice cream stands with Lauren, she's so beautiful, I can't help but smile a little as we sat down and started devouring our ice cream while chatting about dumb crap, the good type of dumb crap. Anyway, I of course decided to tell her about all the data I've gathered and how it's going to really benefit the restaurant and definitely give them a break for once, she supported me endlessly, which helped me feel more confident about the current situation that we are in right now. I offered her a vacation, it could be just the two of us, but she of course had to mention that she can't just leave the library, people wouldn't want to assist in any way, that type of crap. I reassured her that it would be fine, and that there's someone who would definitely accept as the 'for now replacement'. She gave me a nice grin and told me if thats what I want, then we can have a vacation. Just two of us.
