Chapter 10- Luck

Fear was flooding through the boys minds, they've been caught by both, what's going to happen? are they going to get suspended from school? kicked out? lectured? grounded? What's the consequence going to be?

"Relax yourselves, I understand your fear, and you deserve to get the current shock of getting caught, but I'm not going to punish you. The reason.. well, it's because..

I'm too tired".

.....

Tired? Really? That's the reason why we're not getting punished? just because of a feeling when you could've done so much worse to the ones that just broke into your own house without the consent!?

"Thank you, sir. We promise to never step foot into your home again, we have learned our lesson", says Misha.

"Well, now because of your stupidity, some of the neighbors have probably awakened because of the noise, you're lucky most of my neighbors are heavy sleepers, other wise, the cops would've been called almost immediately".

...

"Wow. So none of you got in trouble? you sure are a bunch of lucky clovers, that's one thing for sure", I say with a bit of relief.

"Yeah. Pete's dad sure is a good guy", sighs Misha.

"Seriously? why can't you at least punish, mr. eye-bags moron here, dad?".

"Shut up, go to bed already, it's past midnight, you've got school in the morning, and a test in your 4th period class".

"Uhm, sorry for the interruption, but I really do think we should get going home, you're definitely right about school though.. so we should go", says Wesley.

"Yes, good idea young man, let's just pretend none of this has ever happened and go home, am I right? I'm still not finished with what I was about to do".

"What were you planning on doing?", asks Pasha curiously.

"Here's 1k in cash for discovering my beauty of a formula, you're the very first ones did you know? I mentioned this in a newspaper article, you just happened to find it, though, I can't say you're not the only ones that tried breaking into my house, many people tried doing it in the morning, but they'd instantly get caught because of the traps that I've set up near the door, I'm pretty sure I forgot to place it on the door handle before you intentionally broke in here, so as to keep a promise, here you go, enjoy the rest of your night, also, heres a cookie for bravery".

"No. Way. I think I just joy tinkled a bit", gasps Luke in shock.

"Thank you so much sir! we promise to repay you for your kindness one day! thank you so, so much!", cries Wesley out of joy.

"Yeah. Thanks man. I promise to never cause troubles with you at schools. So, we good then?", mutters Pasha sheepishly.

"Yeah. Don't worry about it. At least now people will stop disrupting our privacy from now on, my father will publish this on the newspaper tomorrow, but don't worry, he won't say specifically who".

"Bet. We'll head out now, have a good rest of your night to both of you, goodbye", says Misha.

"Wow. I never expected this kind of plot twist, but this still doesn't complete the story, does it?" I ask.

"No, it doesn't, but that's a matter for later, Hanna has already passed out during my talking, so we really need to head out, but don't worry, we'll see you later tomorrow, same time, so don't worry", says Misha.

"Goodnight then, I'm looking forward to tomorrow", I say.

'And I'm hoping you won't let me down'.
